  1. [spoiler=the answer]because he is colorblind truthfully wondering if this is for real or just a troll as OP hasn't been back since posting. tho now i see they did sign up to follow this topic. Coolbeans, you out there?
  2. schönheit - well solved, sir
  3. yeah phil - had that answer as somewhat of a "storyline" used to help further hide the intended answer. kinda like plasmid's "I'm not a ...." riddles if I can be so bold.
  4. hey there phil - sorry I missed you last night. see where you are coming from with the above. especially at the beginning and end of this WAI. so yeah, looking for something else. thanks for getting this one going.
  5. Brought into the fold Half naked from the start Some might shed a tear Though please don't fall apart Each narrowly escaping And so should they proceed Working out of the box Yet following their lead One after another To action forced are they Once they served a purpose Only to be blown away
  6. Mu sigmed it up quite nicely Wilson ie with the lambda comment .
  7. ha, ha, yes indeed. nicey done. now we're on the same. Down to the final answer...
  8. hey Wilson - trying to type and stop laughing at the same time. makes sense beyond that of humor but - - - not quite it. [spoiler=a tiny HINT]doesn't start with L
  9. hey hey fabby flabby - thinking you are quite close with that logic and about to square the circle. and DD - thinking you have even elevated your game and may indeed be working backwards from the final answer. the above's not the answer to this one, tho. sorry if i let you down.
  10. not in bad shape. in good nick no doubt. just not a perfect fit.
  11. definitely getting closer to the overall thrust of this one but not the same yet.
  12. hey hey Wilson - your answer is illuminating as usual but you will need an altogether different flight path/approach for this one.
  13. sorry fabpig, DD already registered the intended answer.
  14. of course, the tide turns, you got my drift...
  15. for the three answers above: yes, yes, no. huh? staggering I know but you cant sway me otherwise. rock on...
  16. This balancing act, will totally depend And as a result, adds up in the end It's not very nice, on average you'll see By definition though, intending to be In a timely manner, it goes with the flow Foreshadowed events, shocking you know At peak performance in every instance And all just a phase when going the distance On the right path as a matter of convention Or otherwise orient, toward heaven's ascension So now go figure, your brain time to wrack One answer remains, hope it you will crack Links to similar ones from before: http://brainden.com/forum/index.php?/topic/11427-bottoms-up, http://brainden.com/forum/index.php?/topic/10676-hot-headed, http://brainden.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9818-forsaken, http://brainden.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9745-same-sounding, http://brainden.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9526-sword-play, http://brainden.com/forum/index.php?/topic/10888-same-old-same-old.
  17. woot woot - DD - well played only the final answer remains. may need to consider the setting when this one started.
  18. hey hey DD - indeed great to see you here. did not fully think this one out re the many synonyms/near synonyms that fit both directions of the clue. your first definitely falls in that category. usually try to put some clue that makes the answer more definitive. thought the two directions to be enough. oops. the next one in the wings is better I promise. thanks you guys for staying with it.
  19. that is indeed a fine answer. fits both the direction established in posts #23 and #31 as well as the last 1/4 of the couplet as in post #34 (especially with the original version). so very close to the answer needed am ashamed to say you still need another. but you're right there. EDIT: in rereading post #23, it similarly fits the last 1/4 of the couplet as well - rats
  20. i agree, tho sometimes the next day i find myself questioning that conviction.
