@Glyc, if I understand correctly why you suspect OT - there was no FBI kill and only 2 persons that were block were OT and Marq. Marq being FBI and getting blocked by the FBI (why block their own kill?) and for the second night in a row makes no sense to me. So I'm inclined to believe it too. But that just cleared me: The Inside Man, the Surveillance Specialist and the Interrogator all appear in the nightpost. It is true that if a tree is very small/young - say 1 feet about the ground and you cut it somewhere at the ground level, you will see that cut rising as the tree evolves. Happened to me with a very young walnut when I was a kid and almost cut it through before my grandpa was able to stop me and teach me the difference between trees and grass. The scar of the cut was at the ground level. 20 some years later, the scar of the cut is slightly above my head. I'm pretty sure this is much less obvious for a birch for example. After a while, the converse applies in some (if not all) species of trees. The external bark seems to stop rising and instead, the growth concentrates on the far tips (making them grow in length - elongation) and on the inside of the trunk up to the first branch (secondary growth making the trunk grow in lateral size=girth). Since the two types of growth are different, what's relevant to your question and the problem is the elongation part which can indeed be ignored for the trunk if a tree already reaches a predetermined height. And to answer your other question, even if a tree grows its first branch at a point, then it still continues to rise itself for a while until it stops. I think that the stopping occurs when the tree's girth growth creates a sufficient shielding of (non-living) bark and it is somewhat independent to the appearance of a branch. So for a tree with its first branch (say) 6 ft off the ground it's most likely that it grew as a single stem for less than 6ft - let's say x feet, where x depends on the species (the speed in which it grows its bark) and for a species with slow secondary growth, it could be much less that 6 ft. I'm not sure if it's the answer you were looking for.

@Maurice, I'm sorry. You were telling the truth about being the Informant. But if you were in my shoes, you would not have believed in a less likely possibility. And if I survive the night, I will be in your shoes trying to convince others that you got redirected. @Vineetrika - yes, I know. And a question for you: do you really believe that someone that knows an FBI votes the exact same way as that person? Because this is what maurice says: he knew from Night 1 that I was FBI and then copied my vote on Day 1. I'm sorry but I don't see that line of reasoning. And I'd be very happy to hear what makes you believe that. Off-topic: newbie-ness does not imply not knowing how to play the game or making stupid mistakes. That might be expectable if you choose a random person from the street, but IMHO BrainDen doesn't attract random people, on the contrary.

Maurice, yes, I would have believed you were the Informant as you claim if you'd come out after being voted for in the first place in day 2. I still see no contradiction in what I said. And sorry to say, but your voting pattern just shows that you changed your vote in Day 1 to the exact person I was voting for. You claim to have known after Night 1 that I was FBI. Then what possible reason did you have to vote exactly like me in Day 1?? You believed I'm FBI then vote the same person I did because what? You thought I'd vote for another FBI? Sorry, but this is not making any sense. This just convinces me more and more that you came up with this whole defense very recently, in the middle of Day 2, after being voted.

@Vineetrika – I responded to you and Glycereine earlier with all the information I had. I also responded to maurice inquiring why I don’t ask questions like a newbie. @Vipe195 – I tried to tell you the same thing, but guess I was not being direct enough. Re-read my post to you: “Also, very curious vote if I may add.” I got your answer so I’m moving on with my vote. @Maurice – I would have believed that you were telling the truth, if you have said that after being voted for in the first place on Day 2 or better hinting about that in Day 1. This would have given time for the Initiator to verify what you claim and maybe act without outing themselves. Also, it would have made the D1 lynch less than a shot in the dark. Now it just looks like you’re pointing fingers to try to escape a lynch. There’s still a the possibility that you tell the truth about your role and got redirected, but I cannot verify that. maurice, that is a valid argument that deserves an answer. First, I had a lot of questions in day 1 (and probably I will still have questions even after this game is over). But I decided to ask them publicly only after I see there is no one more experienced already asking them and only if it is necessary (BTW, you can always ask the hosts game clarification questions, it's not against the rules). So I was here but indeed not posting a lot. That's my newbie strategy, however strange it may seem to you. (OFF-TOPIC: A friend once told me I suffer from "calculated shyness" as I was rarely speaking in college, but at the same time not entirely absent. It's not actually a disease and it rarely hurts, so I'm keeping it ). I've studied a few past Mafia games on Brainden before this one started and I'm also a very big fan of cracking puzzles (and codes ). The reason I joined this game is mostly to figure things out on my own (but as Vineetrika knows from the Crack the code games, I take into consideration what others say).
