  1. Only disappointment was not figuring it out. Well done tiger! and another great one Deanna! Was definitely a fun one.
  2. plainglazed

works better with the last line but the title? think I'll still be thinking on this one...
  3. plainglazed

Hadda say something. Next time, a guess...
  4. edit: Wow, very cool how you can get that to fit. Not what I had in mind. EDIT: adding the rewrite and the original couplet (with edit). Sometimes they'll listen, so get it off (or let it out) you should. From me you would surely escape if you could. T'is the center half of the one for which it's known. Left to his own devices, he "devices" on his own.
  5. Hey DN, sorry again, but not too much so as yours is still tripping me up. Race ya.
  6. This answer makes me think hmm, seems to fit the original clue a little better than the rewrite. ehh, gonna post it anyway.

That "try not to hear" is getting me as it seems so seperate from the rest of the clues.
  8. I don't think it's right, especially with the newest stanza, but I am trying to keep my mind active and working on this one. Hope you don't mind the "thinking out loud". Absolutely not (and I dont mind you thinking out loud, either ) REWRITE T'is the center half of the one for which it's known. Left to his own devices, he "devices" on his own. The initial thought for this added couplet came when I was driving into work this morning then I lost some of the intended translation when I first posted it.
  9. Just to make sure. The answer is a word that can be both intangible and touchable and both meanings are described in the two lines; respectively.
  10. Edit: The indent thing makes my guess go to the wrong spot, oh well. I'm sure you can see what I mean Oh and Good Morning to ya. Seems logical, but I didnt think of that.
  11. Good morning. Am afraid I must say not it. But for your efforts and for bringing this one back to life, am adding an alternative clue for this word (same word tho so the original clue should still work, hopefully) complete with its own tricky little homophone. Sometimes they'll listen, so get it off (or let it out) you should. From me you would surely escape if you could. or T'is the center half of the one for which it's known. Left to his own devices, he devises on his own. Hope this is helpful.

Hope this has not already been guessed. Still thinking trying to think...
  13. Cooel, what an early morning surprise. Had not even realized. Thanks Deanna for another fantastic metaphoric brain teaser.
  14. right after I posted that last one I thought of another but had to go. think M_l probably has it but...
  15. I guess you can touch it, certainly can feel it and in a sense you can sense it. Still not it. Ughhh...Sorry.
