plainglazed
In conflict they come together If only to lash out So time will surely tell that The secret's left unlocked But then you must, look to see What the heck is lost And keep it under wraps Since it isn't ever over Yet hold your middle ground Do not enter in To that which is most pure As waste becomes of haste Now as simple as, that may seem You just can't give an inch For the true skill of the flatterer Is to never see the harm Cause when he gives a damn That's when all are dead and gone

0 Guest
Ah, now I see how the spoiler tag on this site works! My answer:Bread dough (or possibly yeast) You stir it into water, then it rises. If you peek at it then it will fall and you won't actually have good bread. You can't hurry it rising, or you waste the batch. Someone who "Gives a damn" and looks will be a "flatterer" by flattening it. 0 plainglazed
hey Shadlyn - welcome to BrainDen! have really enjoyed your contributions already. am working up a guess you can be sure. as for the topic at hand, your guess is not what I have in mind for this one. the way you are thinking, esp the flatterer bit is definitely my kind of style. for better or worse though, this riddle is not of my more typical style. 0 Guest
Thanks, I'm having a blast! Pandora's Box. But the flatterer doesn't apply. Racists "Do not enter into that which is most pure" "In conflict they come together, only to lash out" Some of the other lines work, too, but I don't think enough of them. Racists "Do not enter into that which is most pure" "In conflict they come together, only to lash out" Some of the other lines work, too, but I don't think enough of them. hello - good to see you again - and so soon! do see where both fit in many ways but as I mentioned, this one takes a different approach. The cowboy squints upon his foe The soldier aims at prey When sleeper wakes, these shades are thrown Protection's gone away Between these guards, the globe, your eye May wash self clean with tear They'll shade the things you dare not spy These eyelids, hanging near plasmid, mon ami - is it the name which begs pronounciation with a long e or the poetry that always makes me think of french with you. lovely in both insight and verse, mais pas correcte. The letter 'C' inspired and correct indeed. have to run but will add excuses later. nice job fabpig!
0 plainglazed
A Cool Character Is At A Loss - Cat - at = C In conflict they come together If only to lash out - Clash - lash So time will surely tell that The secret's left unlocked - Clock - lock But then you must, look to see What the heck is lost - Check - heck And keep it under wraps Since it isn't ever over - Cover - over Yet hold your middle ground Do not enter in - Center - enter To that which is most pure As waste becomes of haste - Chaste - haste Now as simple as, that may seem You just can't give an inch - Cinch - inch For the true skill of the flatterer Is to never see the harm - Charm - harm Cause when he gives a damn That's when all are dead and gone - Care - are Since this style is so different than a typical WAI (what am i), feel it's a little unfair. Have now done up to C so a few have seen at least two of these types and knew if I announced this one as "different" it might give an advantage to some. what to do - no hard feelings? Absolutely not meant in any way to take anything away from the fabulously brilliant fabpig. Well done my friend (no trichinosis here).
