Lol yeah, I am an enemy to all. I guess me and zero are in the same boat right now. Except I actually hunt baddies. At this point the QAs are without a doubt going to go after TC because it will allow them to meet up and get BTSC. But I dunno if the saving roles should protect TC, because as I said before... I think he could be one of the M4F14 so it's in the best interest of the innocents to let him die.

It's pretty straight forward. Decode the message, each letter is consistently-(always) replaced-(maybe) by a different letter in the alphabet. And don't forget the spoilers! -This puzzle is what I call a level - 4 Which means that this puzzle is - A various length quote. There is a vowel that has been completely removed from the quote below. It is up to you to figure out what that vowel is, and where in the words that vowel is missing. The name of the author has also been removed, and will be revealed once the puzzle is solved. Good Luck! Yeah, maybe. If he ate 3 of them alot may not happen to Chuck... but be assured that alot would happen to everyone else

About 10 minutes remaining if anyone wants to change their vote Yeah right... Edit: err wait, I think I may have died an hour ago... I'm not sure.
-
I'm confused... when did I ever say I knew who #7 was? I have no idea who 7 is at this point, my guess is as good as yours.
-
No, that's not right. It is technically impossible for me to win as a mafioso. To satisfy the mafioso win condition, I would have to be the sole survivor with the mafiosos AFTER I had killed a mafioso. Which means that the game would have to run until the end. Leaving me and two mafiosos. I would have to kill one of them at night and steal the ability. So that the following day I would win. Of course this could not happen, because when I killed one of them, then they would kill me that same night. It's impossible for me to win as a mafioso. The only realistic ways for me to win are as Zero (killing #7) or as a QA (killing the main target or completing the lynch objective) and that's only IF I killed a QA on the odd night and then satisfied it on the even night. Basically, my chances of winning are slim to none. My main purpose is to kill baddies like a super #7 and satisfy the objective. I am more valuable to the innocents than #7 because I can kill every night, but my role is still lame b/c I can't really win, and I'm considered a baddie instead of an independent. So like I said, it's not a big deal if you lynch me.
-
OK, I have decided that it's a good idea if everyone goes ahead and lynches me. The baddies are too afraid of the Mimic to let me live, and because I came out with my role I would be targeted tonight anyway (instead of an innocent). Since I'll be dead either way, and many of you weren't reasoning very well, I guess it's better off if an innocent dies tonight instead of me. Oh yeah, BTW, I wasn't lying when I was saying those things about Phaze's role earlier. Phaze was a mafioso, in particular, he was the Mengalabot. I know this because tonight I would be able to spy a faction AND kill. I targeted him because I saw right through his plan (why didn't anyone else?). So, with that in mind, please take a look at the quote below. There was absolutely nothing that could possibly construe Phaze as an innocent. However, Onetruth IMMEDIATELY attacked me and came to the aid of Phaze, saying that he couldn't be a baddie. Why? Because Onetruth, as I said, is one of the M4F14. I also believe that TC is the other one. So, because some of the innocents have done me so wrong, I'll go ahead and instruct the QAs to KILL THUNDER CHICKEN TONIGHT so they can meet up. So good news and bad news and bad news and more bad news. Good news- The innocents now have plenty of evidence to take out a baddie in the lynching tomorrow (OneTruth) Bad News- Since I (a very beneficial role for the innocents) am going to be lynched, an innocent will be killed instead tonight. (b/c if you hadn't noticed, I was the other target for the QAs, so they were going to take me out whether or not I had come out with my role). Bad News- The QAs are still going to get to meet up. Bad News- Zero attacks tonight, and will be after the unprotected #7. Because I came out with my role, Zero would more than likely target me instead. Oh well, I tried to help the innocents, but the baddies and terrible reasoning got the best of you Well I'm out, and I'm neutral, so I'm not really going to cheer anyone on with my final words.

Way to misdirect people, AGAIN, and ignore the point I was making. You and TC have been the two people pushing the vote against me. Nevermind the other people who have been voting, they are just going blindly by the effort of you two against me. You also, again, ignore that I am making lie detectable statements, there hasn't been a single other active person in this game to do that. I have done everything that I can (aside from coming out with my role) that can prove that I am out to kill the baddies. Oh well. It's too late now for people to begin to change their votes. Looks like I'm a goner b/c of the Avatar, when all of my good ant true efforts have been hastily and deliberately ignored. I guess I can come out with my role now. I am a role that was independent, though now it's lame b/c I'm aligned with the baddies. Even though I am supposed to hunt and kill the baddies. I am the Mimic, my objective is to kill baddies and try to complete their objective. This means that I am "technically" a baddie once I kill a baddie. I can be massively beneficial to the innocents, but my goal is an independent one. So look at me like a baddie if you want to, but you're losing a great weapon against the real baddies. <_<
-
I mean, I don't want to get lynched, I can be very beneficial to the innocents. I want to keep playing but the ThunderChicken/Onetruth TEAM are bent on taking out an innocent. How many lie detectable statements do I have to make? Can the real Robbie please stand up?
-
So I wonder if anyone else is going to change their votes before then, or am I just dead?
-
So, Ms. AInonymous, when is the deadline?
-
Ok, all caught up. I went out for a game of pool and, well... It's response time! For those of you who are voting for me because I have a shifty eyed avatar... that's petty, but honestly it's as good a reason as any to vote for someone right now! Secondly, I wrote that initial statement as something that could be lie detected. In fact, I think it was the only statement made on the first night that could be lie detected! I was trying to clear myself up front so this wouldn't happen! But no, you all have to go and see it as reverse psychology. I do see now that it was an easy thing for baddies to construe as a suspicious thing to say. But check it out, I just wanted to prove myself up front. I guess you can lynch me then, I'm not a big deal (the complete randomness got me this time). It's a waste, but it's not a big deal.
-
that's just it, there is no discussion unless 1) the deadline is eminent, or 2) someone has a few votes stacked up against them. Spreading the votes out over several different names helps nothing, oh well.
-
This has been the biggest downfall in all of the games. People are always saying that there's not enough time to vote. Which is a complete and total load of BS. People hardly even begin to discuss stuff until about 8hrs before the deadline. (Look at what is happening right now, with all the "I'm not gonna vote now" statements. Seriously, what's the point in even having a deadline if it's just going to be extended for the people that wait until the deadline to begin the discussion? It's BS. People who say that "I am not gonna vote right now" have no idea what's gong on. The game comes to a screeching halt until the deadline gets close. These people do not realize that the game progresses when you vote and turn the screws on people to defend themselves and make the game interesting. Saying that you're not gonna vote until there is some type of evidence is also a load. There is no hard evidence on the first day, heck sometimes there isn't any on the 2nd day either. The only evidence comes from voting for people and grilling them until they can convince you otherwise. If someone had hard evidence that they were wiling to share, it would have come out already. Sure, some people can't get on as much, that's a fine and reasonable excuse to have a 24 (or now 36) hour deadline. But not for the actively non-voting participants, you people kill this game. Here's an active and decisive vote, changing it to Dusty for being actively inactive. Host AIs: Y-S4N and L1S Roster: 1) Frozen 2) Mekal 3) ThunderChicken 4) onetruth 5) twoaday 6) Kat-voting for- twoaday 7) Crazypainter -voting for- kat 8) GC 9) Nayana 10) Slickster - DEAD [bioEnginner] (killed by M4F14) 11) Dusty 12) Dawh 13) Clueless 14) taliesin 15) woon 16) Ben Law 17) Phaze - DEAD [?] (killed by Mimic) 18) SoKrisky 19) Brandonb - voting for Dusty 20) Joe's Student

Time to start casting votes, so that we don't have a semi-repeat of LIS in Maf VI. Host AIs: Y-S4N and L1S Roster: 1) Frozen 2) Mekal 3) ThunderChicken 4) onetruth 5) twoaday 6) Kat-voting for- twoaday 7) Crazypainter -voting for- kat 8) GC 9) Nayana 10) Slickster - DEAD [bioEnginner] (killed by M4F14) 11) Dusty 12) Dawh 13) Clueless 14) taliesin 15) woon 16) Ben Law 17) Phaze - DEAD [?] (killed by Mimic) 18) SoKrisky 19) Brandonb - voting for kat 20) Joe's Student
-
Of course, whoever dies the first night usually has a large impact on the rest of the game. It's a good idea to try and figure out what he was so that no baddies can do what I did in Maf VI
-
I saw that too. Honestly, I think only a mafioso would come out as a mafia, in the hopes of no one believing him. He acted crazy before, but there was a reason behind his insanity. It wasn't complete randomness. I think it's the same with this situation. Then again, maybe Phaze's new strategy for this game was to be completely random Edit: Or just go back to beginning of this thread, he makes the claim to be a mafioso again. I forgot about the one that JS brought up
-
Just my opinion, but ANYTHING from The Princess Bride is bad.
-
What are you talking about? Your reasoning is completely unfounded. You're acting suspiciously, saying you are a mafia. So when someone says that you should be checked, then they are the suspicious ones? Not buying it man. There is no logic in your accusations.
-
Alright, lets get this going! Can't wait to nail a baddie!
-
It's been about 30hrs now. I don't think anyone is going to be confirming in the next 6... (except for maybe GC, he's mostly active at night) So, can we have a spotlight in the intro where I kill them all? Seriously though, it's about time to kill them.
-
To be fair, now that it's a 36hr day limit, people should have 36hrs to confirm. It sucks, but that's how the game is going to work now right? Though after 36hrs, if there are not replacements ready to step up by the night post, then I'm all for killing off the non-confirmed.

Oh, I thought you were asking about a front/back view vs a side view. In the example that you suggested, it would depend on how close you were to the plane from each angle, and how much stuff was on the other side to suggest motion and speed. A plane passing in front of clouds will seem to be moving faster than a plane flying through clear skies at the same distance and speed. Assuming that the vehicle's speed and background remain constant, another thing that will effect your perception of speed is the distance that the vehicle is from you, and the vehicle's distance from the background. In the situation you suggested, contrasting an 'up-close overhead view' against a 'distant ground view', the significantly closer view will make the vehicle appear to be moving faster, no matter what the background is. This is because of the time it takes for the vehicle to change its angle relative to your view point. (similar to your 'Sun' question) If you are on the ground looking up at a high-altitude plane, it will take much longer for the angle to change relative to your position, than it would if you were merely a few yards away in a hot air balloon. Again, it depends on whether you are asking about the variance pertaining to a change in viewing distance, or a change in viewing angle. Has this answered your question?
-
Right! Now, in your head, set both of those perspectives that you mentioned as backgrounds for another fast moving vehicle (like an aircraft). Notice the difference in how well you are able to observe the speed of the vehicle. The speed is much more apparent when you can contrast it against a background that whizzes past.
-
Question 1 seems to have been answered pretty well, but I have a different answer for #2. It's all about the background. If you are going the same way (along the side) as the aircraft, or any other moving vehicle, you are seeing the vehicle at nearly a static placement in your line of sight. While you are looking at the vehicle, the background becomes a blur whizzing by, which gives a very vivid perspective of motion. If you are looking at the same vehicle from head-on, or from behind (I assume this is what is meant by "opposite way"), then the vehicle will appear nearly as static in your line of sight as the background. The only way to observe speed from that perspective is to judge how quickly the vehicle seems to grow or shrink when you view it moving towards or away from you. Either way, as I said before, the variance between the vehicle and the background is minimal, which is what makes it not appear as fast as a side view does.
