Aaryan Posted June 15, 2011 Report Share Posted June 15, 2011 LOOSE As per maurice's logic: FOUND = 2. FLINT = 0 rules out F _ _ N _. LOUSE = 1 means only one of the O or the U can score at most. Therefore FOUN = 1, meaning D scores. If LOOSE=0, U is third as the only change from LOUSE to LOOSE was U->O and the score dropped. If LOOSE=1, O is second as the only change from LOUSE to LOOSE was U->O and the score stayed the same (and with maurice's logic ruling out any other letter scoring). Guest Posted June 16, 2011 Report Share Posted June 16, 2011 (edited) PAINT -edit to add logic - if 2 then ????T since PA??? has been eliminated (PANES=0) and since ??INY=1 from RAINY and we know it isn't ????Y from FULLY=0 so therefore the 1 in RAINY must be either I OR N but can't be both.
