I read you're comments, but I feel like that's too much of a hint. (you'll know what I mean when the answer finally arrives). -maybe that can be enough of a hint for now. Besides, I feel that the riddle can be solved on it's own. Like I said, it's unrelated to movies, there just happens to be a movie named after the answer.

Could you please define english-isms? I thought they were sentences like: the card was invalid for the invalid. or the farm was used to produce produce.

I can't really punctuate it because it's not written in proper English. I hinted earlier, that the faster you read it, the more likely you are to get it.

Yeah, it's easy. I didn't think it would get this much attention actually. I think the trick of it is that most people initially have to place an X in the center (some experience-based brain function) and then it's harder to think of excluding the center box.

Agreed. I was going to post my answer figuring nobody had solved this yet, but after reading the posts strykr1a0 solved it in 4 moves and got no credit.

This turned out to be a better puzzle than I thought. You'll definitely smack yourselves when you figure it out The answer is not 'no' and you cannot stack them, consider them to be written.

Consider the OP to mean 'place them as you would in a normal game of tic tac toe' If you could put them anywhere, this wouldn't be much of a puzzle.
