quinsy whelks expect (Aside to Grayven--your macro-free MasterwordRev4 is now available, follow my sig to current downloads)
  5. Still having scribal difficulties, try these downloads MasterwordRev4--for hosting a Masterword (no macros--Open Office should work with this) MasterwordRev3--for hosting a Masterword (uses Excel macros) EnigmaticCrossword--for hosting a Yoruichi-san Enigmatic Crossword (uses Excel macros) wordmatch--for hosting a Prof. Templeton Word Search (uses Excel macros)
  6. Trying again, here's the new, macro-free Masterword spreadsheet. Let me know how it works for you,

I know what a bouzouki is, what not what a "bakuzi" (Brandon's query) or a "bazuki" (Palmer's reinterpretation) is. What in the world?
  8. Currently available downloads: MasterwordRev4--for hosting a Masterword (without macros--Open Office should work fine) MasterwordRev3--for hosting a Masterword (uses Excel macros) wordmatch--for hosting a Prof. Templeton Word Search (uses macros) EngimaticCrossword--for hosting a Yoriuchi-san Enigmatic Crossword (uses macros)
  9. I'll get this fixed. I can't see how to point to an existing download, so each time, I have to reupload my files. But that fills up my space, and I don't see how to delete old items from my space. I'll get this all fixed up real soon now, and you'll have 4 spreadsheets, including an Open Office compatible Masterword.
  10. Good idea, Grayven, hold their feet to the fire. But while you're waiting (watch the melting glacier icon), here is a new version of Masterword that doesn't use macros at all. Therefore, this version should work on Open Office Excel. Try it and see, let me know how it comes out.!

Holy H. Cow! catspaw is the word! Palmers were known for sleight of hand and other tricks, but I never even felt the ESP probe... (I agree, I've never even heard of cajeput (Wikipedia's spelling), although I've heard of melaleuca. Palmerc7 slew that dragon before it left the egg. Your turn.

Gladly, although It's sort of embarrassing, BrandonB, palmerc7 and I came in this morning, found the totally destroyed remains of a dragon (slain by the heroic efforts of Grayven, WilsonsMum, and TrueMaja), and all we had to do was name it. Oh well, I have a 7-letter word, more modern, but only slightly more frequently used than "wyvern".
  15. Thanks, plasmid. I guess I'd like to see your samples of OO code. But I'm very unlikely to acquire their environment and try to develop code in it. I've been using VB for years and hating it all the time because of what I consider some "odd little things". If OO goes beyond that in oddness, I think my impatience alarm will go off.
  16. Sorrow! Yes, definitely Visual Basic. It was pretty basic, but if the object model is different, which I can imagine, it could take time to rework it. And, as I don't have Open Office, this sounds like a large task. Thank you, plasmid, for the info.

You're quite welcome, Mum So, WilsonsMum solved Chidoric's Masterword, but is not ready to host one. Neither am I. Somebody please lay one on us!
