  1. I now agree with Framm's first notion and Kika's new belief that Flame is likely the Inddie. I know very little about both plasmid and Framm, except that they have supplied the most thorough analyses so far. It would seem a tricky/difficult thing to do if either were the baddie, but by now it seems to have narrowed to one of them or me. I took Framm's advice about making a grid which has been helpful, and most of what is uncertain to me now is the action of redirect. From the Newbie's Guide, redirect is applied to both roles and objects of actions. I'm assuming the latter, but that's only a guess. I'm with Kika about finding the baddie; so, I will cast my vote for plasmid, who doesn't seem to be voting for a baddie candidate. If it helps figure things out at all, I can say that I acted both nights. How do we intrepret Magic's statement in post 57: Flame ... just couldn't seem to find his way home. ? 1. Flamebirde 4. bonanova - voting for plasmid 5. Kikacat123 - voting for Framm18 6. plasmid - voting for Flamebirde 7. Framm18 - voting for Bonanova 2. BMAD - lynched as mayor 3. phil1882 - killed N1
  2. Agree with Y-san's answer.
  3. I got the same figure. But, with plasmid, I don't know where the cables are. Assumption (from post 1): We are to minimize PA + PB + PC.
  4. FYI I am home now (in real life) from a 2-week trip and can pay better attention to things. One thing I'm not clear about is how we know, or not, the roles of people who get killed. Does it matter, for example, whether the perp was a goodie or a baddie? e.g. we know BMAD was Mayor but not sure who Phil was.
  5. The newbie guide does not say explicitly, but it seems implied, that a vote can be changed. I will make that assumption, and on the basis of discussion change my vote to BMAD. Flamebirde - Kidnapped BMAD phil1882 - DEAD bonanova - voting for BMAD Kikacat123 plasmid - voting for Framm Framm18 - Voting for Plasmid If this is not permitted, then, simply ignore the changed vote.
  6. I don't doubt it will be figured out by tomorrow, but not by me. I'm learning from you guys how to draw inferences. Having few players obviously helps, but I would not have gotten as far as I have read on my own. And btw I hope there are follow-on games.
  7. I'm going to re-read the guide for newbies. This is a much richer game than what I first saw it to be. Plasmid's analysis suggests to me there will be a quick solve, except I'm not sure yet how complex the redirect action makes the whole process. Thanks to the mod for giving us extra time this first day and for the colorful commentary. Eeeew, Phil, that must have been horrible. Flamebirde - Kidnapped BMAD phil1882 - DEAD bonanova - voting for plasmid Kikacat123 plasmid - voting for Framm Framm18 - Voting for Plasmid
  8. Ah, I think I understand that. Now to find them....
  9. Bowing to the wishes of the majority. Nice job all, and k-man gets the nod.

    Obscure Jokes

What are these thngs? Clue: the one on the left is a centimeter. Edit: Seriously? This is an easy one. Maybe Freshman Physics would help, but nothing more is needed.
  11. confirmed. I may need some general info about the game. I get the good/bad guy roles.OP is a bit cryptic regarding the others.
  12. And the significance of the blue numbers?
  13. Creative. But sqrt is not available.
  14. Pcia: Board Guideline 6 suggests being positive. If you find a puzzle not to your liking, try another. Authors are free to compose flavor text to suit their own particular style. Your kid sister can type the word Google. Most puzzle books have an answer section. Not really the point of buying the book, tho, is it? Please consider the reason you joined this site. And do read the posting guidelines. Thanks.
  15. Plasmid's observation is a necessary condition. If the stool / table has legs of differing lengths it will rock on a planar surface / floor, and no amount of rotation will make it steady. But if the ends form a square, then, for an uneven floor, a rotation of less than 90 degrees will bring about a stable condition, without translation.
  16. Is there a proof for either question?
  17. This one is challenging, but does have an answer.
  18. Ah that explains it. Good solve.
  19. I have to say I like the first one. But the puzzle is still open.
