0 Shakeepuddn
No. Not coin. I penned this riddle with the intention of letting you sharp riddle masters, who so quickly slayed my other ones meant for general audience, know that the edge is still there. This is a sticky wicket, but like all of mine, the road to the gold is within the riddle itself. If you can find and follow it to the answer, I tip my hat. Good luck! 0 plasmid
Wow, this one is a toughie all right. Going mainly by the last couple of lines, I'd guessa cell phone with outrageously steep charges(even if that is a little redundant)

0 Shakeepuddn
No luck so far. But don't fear, there’s enough in the riddle for any savvy individual to work it out. Keep trying.
0 plasmid
Ever fascinated by the last line talking about the cursed ring...My next guess would be that you're botanical. I'm not familiar with the names used in the riddle, but the bit about raining color seems floral. The cursed ring in such a context would be a reference to "ring around the rosies", which (if rumor is correct) actually refers to one of the worst curses in mankind's history: the bubonic plague. That's an interesting analysis Plasmid, though a bit off the mark. Nothing floral. If you can work out the names though, you may be able to peg the "First" (main one and answer to the riddle). The "ring" part is sort of a double entendre.

0 Shakeepuddn
Sorry Plainglazed, nothing to do with those. Work on the names, that might help. And if anyone but you solves this, I'll be greatly disappointed; you're my inspiration! PS: I'm irked over the windmill thing . . . I'm currently reading D.Q. and STILL missed it! 0 Shakeepuddn
Crazy Painter gets the golden ring!!!!! Actually doughnut hole. Depending on the outlet, they are called Country Bits, Dew Drops, Robin's Egg, Munchkins (minor race where color rains-as in rainbow and Oz being colored as opposed to gray Kansas), etc. But the first and foremost title is Doughnut Hole. A hole is literally nothing (nut for the crazy part) and if you eat too many, you will be cursed with a ring around your waist! (double entendre with doughnut ring). Bravo!
