1. Somehow i don't think 13 year olds(me!!) or at least any human 13 year old has a hope on this Earth on getting that, all i get is the Pi symbol, oh, and the numbers! :P

Lol...actually, there was a 14 year-old math grad student at my college...;P

2. I was like "wow, 8 pages, the day must've started"

...how wrong I was

I forget when this topic was started, but it can't be more than a few hours before the 18-hr night deadline, unless Frost extended it for his own purposes

Haha...my thoughts exactly...

*waits for night post* the deadline is within the next few hours, most likely sooner (45ish minutes maybe?) but I don't know if Frost will be on time, cuz he might have to extend it cuz he's on vacation. We'll see :P *waits*

in the meantime, nobody should post in this topic except if it's game-related of course.

Hehe...if they get sick of people posting random things, the mafia could always get rid of them...XP

The level on the bevel has the weigh that will sway, but the scales that never fails, have the bolts that can jolt ........... Danny Kay or was that the chalis from the palace has the brew that is thue?

just to note that I'm observing

Oooh...big brother is watching...;P

3. Okay, since you're working so hard, I will give you this clue:

[cos(2θ) sin(2θ), sin(2θ) -cos(2θ)] is known as the Reflection Matrix...;P

The Reflection Matrix reflects across a particular line (depending on the value of theta). I.e. [Reflection Matrix over y-axis]*(0,1)->(0,-1).

In 12, the Reflection Matrix is multiplying the last term, so...;)

4. And the insanity begins...;P

Haha, thought of this while riding the bus home today...sorry, can't resist...O_o

You have this ginormous Scales of Justice. You know that baddies weigh more than innocents (due to all those concealed weapons XP). What is the minimum # of weighs you have to do in order to identify all the baddies? :D

5. Haha...nice ;)...yeah, when they have these on those TV magic shows I always figure out the trick instead of actually doing it...:P

Well, at least *you* spend your time thinking about new magic tricks...*me*, I spend my time thinking up new ways of killing people while having an airtight alibi...;P

6. c(11) -------> 630 hence is orange

c(12) -------> 870 hence is red to infrared

c(13) -------> 990 almost infrared

c(14) -------> 1,040 infrared

c(15) -------> 650 hence red, as per c(7) -----> 650

I am based on the table provided from wikipedia, so maybe the range is off by little?

Lol...so am I, and

color wavelength interval frequency interval

red ~ 700–630 nm ~ 430–480 THz

orange ~ 630–590 nm ~ 480–510 THz

yellow ~ 590–560 nm ~ 510–540 THz

green ~ 560–490 nm ~ 540–610 THz

blue ~ 490–450 nm ~ 610–670 THz

violet ~ 450–400 nm ~ 670–750 THz

Transition values I call a combination of the two, i.e. 630 I call red-orange, like I had yellow-green...values above 700 are infrared (not visible), values below 400 are ultraviolet (also not visible).

Also, I was actually confused because you wrote 121 in yellow...not orange :P

But good job solving the puzzle! :D

7. Well, woon decide to take a break on this and after a long fresh break.....hey, look at what I found.....

continue from your number:
121
36 <= I think we still afford to see this
169 <= let mosquito see it
98 <= let mosquito see it
75

Correct? :P

Lol...um...I think you're off by a little...

8. Innocent UNTi(L) Proven arrays/challenges BeWRaYIN(G)/SMoThErIn(G)/LaCErAtIn(G)

BeWRaYIN(G) sound better :P

Phew !!!

Okay, since you're working so hard, I will give you this clue:

[cos(2θ) sin(2θ), sin(2θ) -cos(2θ)] is known as the Reflection Matrix...;P

9. Hopefully these agree with the majority:

1. London, England (Lung, Done)

Thank you, saves me the trouble, lol :P

Actually, the theme was the "all around the world" part...but it made me think of that song, and the "statutes crumble for me" instead of "statues crumble for me" is a metaphor refering to thinking outside the box, which is what a lot of puzzles are... ;)

Edit: And the fact that Beijing, China is 8 is *not* a coincidence...Beijing Olympics starting 8-8-08! (888 is a lucky number in China ;P)

10. The word "like" can be uesd as a noun.

What is your answer to who am I?

;), yes it can...but not the way you're thinking...

Line 2 gives the most direct answer to the question.

I never give up, either! :D

11. Wow...lol, okay, fine, I'll summarize the hints I've given (and have been decoded)

where did woon go...:P

c(n) color of nth number is not a function of a(n) value of nth number

spell it out

has to do with wavelengths of light...

12. with removing one word i got....

If I were in boxes, I couldn't be.

You have me, and I like you.

I go up as you go towards F.

What am I?

i still have no idea though hope this helps someone else

Getting closer...but remember, you need to remove a noun from all lines except the last one...

If I were in, I couldn't be contained.

Have me, and I am like you.

I go up as you go towards F.

What am I?

Fever.

You are *so* close...just line 2 is wrong...and line 2 gives away the answer...;P

13. OP:

If I were in boxes, I couldn't be contained.

You have me, and I am like you.

I go up as you go towards grade F.

What am am I?

From post 35:

Do you horse really think my English skills are that bad?

Or could it be that, perhaps, that I am trying pizza to leave you clues to what the catch is?

Think about it tear?

From post 47:

Do we need to ignore 1 pronoun from each sentance?

Yes, there is an extra one in each line cat! ;P

So, based on that information, I started creating all the possible modifications of each sentence. I thought about only adding the ones that make sense, but here's the whole list:

If I were in boxes, I couldn't be contained. (original)

If I were in boxes, I be contained. (could be)

If I were in boxes, I couldn't be. (could be)

If I were in, I couldn't be contained. (could be, but doesn't make much sense)

If I were boxes, I couldn't be contained. (could be, but doubtful)

If I were in boxes, I couldn't contained. (nonsense)

I were in boxes, I couldn't be contained. (nonsense)

If were in boxes, I couldn't be contained. (nonsense)

If I in boxes, I couldn't be contained. (nonsense)

You have me, and I am like you. (original)

You have me, and I like you. (could be)

You have me, and I am you. (could be)

You have me, I am like you. (could be)

have me, and I am like you. (nonsense)

You me, and I am like you. (nonsense)

You have, and I am like you. (nonsense)

You have me, and am like you. (nonsense)

You have me, and I am like. (nonsense)

---

I go up as you go towards grade F. (original)

go up as you go towards grade F.

I go up as you go towards F.

I go up as you go towards grade

I go up as you go grade F.

I go as you go towards grade F.

I go up as you towards grade F. (nonsense)

I go up you go towards grade F. (nonsense)

What am I?

am am I? (nonsense)

And from that, I put the most reasonable statements together and I'm still having a hard time solving the problem. I don't think the word(s) to be omitted are necessarily to be a pronoun. Any word seems applicable.

I think it could be a dog or a pet.

If that's not it, I hope this information will help someone get the right answer at least!

Cheers <_<

Good thinking...but keep in mind a lot of my stuff has a math/science tint to it, so the possibilities that may not make sense to you at first glance, may actually be the correct ones...;P

14. An extra "pronoun" or simply an extra word? Because in the last line there is only one pronoun.

An extra word...which happens to be a noun in all lines except the last one (i.e. all lines that matter...)

15. Lol...well you can think about puzzles *and* date...you just have to know how to pretend like you're actually listening to what your date is saying instead of trying to figure out the answer to the latest puzzle...;P

Anyways, I think I'm misunderstanding the problem, are you asking for the largest n that it is possible to have all nonintersecting lines?

Make a circle w/ top half blue (blue semicircle) and bottom half red...then connect with lines going up and down...assuming you can put infinitely small dots, you can put an infinite number of lines...

This can also be done w/ other conic sections, i.e. red/blue hyperbola...but I'm not sure if this is what you meant...
