    I have been reading off and on through this busy day at work. For those that question my identity as defender, no one has contradicted me, which doesn't mean the Defender isn't already dead, but we pretty much have all those posts figured out. I figure I probably won't make it to the end of this game, but I think lynching me will definitely make the ninja more vulnerable with the Grim Reaper running around. Do we have any idea of the GR's identity? So we pretty much have three baddies left.

    It sounds like the suspicious characters are:

    LIS

    Sinistral

    Mekal

    Which role seems to present the largest threat?

    Edit: and I'm still a girl, not an "it" LIS :P

    Lol...

    ...well I think the QA is the least threat, definitely less than the GR, since the QA can't win until the GR dies...

    ...the GR can't win tonight as long as the Ninja gets protection...plus the GR is the baddie that is hardest to peg right now...

    ...I think Sinistral was I-san's Great Aurora Caper partner...;P

    Okay, Sinistral, something has been bothering me about you, and I just figured out what it is:

    Since now it is highly likely that I-san was Mafia, then that means that the Mafia were banking on Aurora the 2nd night.

    I noticed that I-san was very much in support of Aurora the 2nd night, without giving a reason. UR and BB were also supportive, but they gave their reasons, or at least, their arguments with my reasons. However, looking at Sinistral...

    Okay I'm new at this but here are my thoughts on strategy at the moment.

    We're in good shape since we got a mafia the first day. I'm thinking the shaman (if still alive) should use Aurora tonight. We still have our discovery roles (Spy, Inspector, Bomb - sorry Unreality for doubting you), and if we can guarantee they stay alive for tonight, it gives us a pretty damn good chance of nailing someone tomorrow. Hopefully a QA, if we can get them down to two before they have a chance to meet up, it makes it harder for them to meet up and coordinate their kills. Plus, its a non-ninja kill night, so if Aurora was used tomorrow night it would potentially take away a ninja kill, and there's no guarantee shaman will be alive to use it on the 4th night. So I think using it tonight makes the most sense, since keeping our discovery roles alive tonight will give us excellent chances to lynch correctly tomorrow.

    The blue line shows that he thinks the QA's may not meet up that night - "before they have a chance to meet up", so he doesn't think they're going to make a kill, so there wouldn't be a QA kill...

    Also the doctor and healer were alive (hence the comments about the Spy being "invincible"), so UR was completely safe, definitely safer than after the doctor/healer was killed on a future night.

    Actually I dont like that idea... since after they use both the shaman is dead, and would rather the shaman save the scry for possibly identifying another baddie.

    I agree with Brandonb... if Aurora is not used tonight it we can be pretty sure that either GC was the shaman, or that the shaman is more of a newbie than I am.

    Seems more eager than he should be to make sure the Shaman uses Aurora

    Oh, and I still think the 2nd night Aurora was a good choice... they had potentially 3 kills and we had confirmed discovery roles who were out in the open. By using Aurora we were 100% guaranteed their safety for another night which allows us to figure out more identities. Good job Shaman!

    Contradicting himself. Again, ignoring doctor/healer. If I-san were his partner Mafioso, they would definitely be praising the Shaman ;P

    I admit, my initial vote was just kinda thinking/testing. But now after reviewing the evidence, I'm sticking with it B))

    Hmm...well if the Penguin knows something the rest of us don't...then he/she, by all means, should do what he/she thinks is right...

    The way I see the Penguin role as being the most useful in Mafia games is by alleviating the lynch-or-lose situations, such as we had in the last game ;), by preventing the baddies from lynching an Innocent who has an ability that can help the Innocents win against a N v N situation, such as the Doctor/Healer/Ninja/Janitor/Inuit (if there are QA's remaining).

    Also, I'm mainly worried about the risk of converting the last Mafioso by mistake because with Nayana the Doctor dead, it's unlikely the Defender and Ninja are going to survive to the end of this game...but if the Mafioso is converted, he/she definitely will (especially since we all can see who the QA and GR targets are ;P), making it a Mafia win.

    Interesting thoughts, Y-san, but doesn't Penguinism only save one from lynching? And aren't the confirmed innocents highly unlikely to be lynched? That seems like a waste of a Conversion to me. No, I think the Penguin has a much more difficult choice to make today. He/She should convert one who has a chance of being lynched, but that the Penguin believes is Innocent. If the Penguin is not up to the task, he/she may decide to take no action.

    Okay, so based on Frost's answers, we know that only one QA is alive, making it highly likely that I-san was a mafioso, and the Aurora thing a clever gamble...so now we have only one mafioso remaining, and then there is the GR...

    Taliesin is Mekal now, Taliesin is no longer playing Mafia V...

    I looked in the rules and it doesn't say anything about special conditions for one QA, so he/she may be able to kill every night. Some clarification on that would be good. If all three are able to kill tonight, then forget my previous preference, any one of them would be good to take down.

    And for the penguin, while we wouldn't be able to lynch the baddie, the very capable Ninja could still finish the job. Though Penguin, if you're alive, please choose an innocent. ;)

    Thanks for your vote of confidence, but I think the best thing for the penguin to do is choose someone they can be pretty sure of, like CP, 2D, Bb or myself. Here are the +/- for each:

    CP: Confirmed by UR, who was confirmed as the Spy. Don't know her role, but based on UR's advice to her, I think I have her pegged...(but I won't reveal it :P)

    2D: Advantage is that he won't get killed at night, since his attacker will have 1/2 chance of blowing up. Disadvantage is that if he does get lynched, he will definitely take out one of the ppl who voted for him, who will be baddies. Confirmed by Spy to be the Bomb.

    Bb: He's smart. Don't really know how useful the Janitor is to have around, but as the number of people go down, will probably be more useful. No confirmation of innocence, but high likelihood.

    Y-san (me): Apparently the QAs this game have had an irresistible attraction to me...;P. Likely to be targeted at night, and if the Defender dies, likely to die at night. Has ability to kill at night, which may be useful. Confirmed innocence by both Ninja kill and Defender protection in last night post.

    Choose wisely, Penguin ;)

    Frost: That was Awesome :D. Definitely worth the wait...I especially love how it ended in a katana duel, since katanas are my favorite weapons ;P.

    Hmmm...I'm kinda confused now, though...the QA badge thing and the mafia not killing...

    Questions for Frost: Is 1 out of 2 QA's considered a majority? And is it written in when someone is targeted but saved by the doctor/healer?

    Well, my head hurts and I'm exhausted from a day of moving/cleaning, so I'll get back to you guys tomorrow with my thoughts...

    ...well, I'll disclose one thought: if dnae is an innocent role (which I'm unsure about), then those people who seem to be eager to lynch him w/o discussion and not wanting to try to find a replacement are suspicious...

    Wow, I'm tired from packing/moving...

    Just thought up an alternate reality where GC was actually the janitor, and dnae and dusty are actually QA's...and Bb and Itachi-san are mafia...hmmm....quite an imagination I have...;)

    ouch! I was trying, but you were outing yourself pretty good without me. That, and with the masked lover thing, I had to try and fix things. Notice, I didn't out who the ninja was until YOU pressed me.

    Lol...I'm not blaming you...I'm just saying that it was my hope that the Defender could stay low-key. But under the circumstances, I don't disagree with what you did. If you thought that you, as the Defender would die, then you needed to make sure the Ninja got protection, which is what happened, so well played :).

    After the clue in Frost's post, I figured I'd be on top of the GR's list anyways, so there was more use in me playing with my anonymity to lure out some baddies than trying to hide it...plus I'm vocal about my thinking anyways...;P

    This is a great reason why I think Dnae is a baddie. Seems like he is telling the other QA how to coordinate.

    Yeah...I've read it like 3 times, and it makes no sense...if he is a baddie, what is his goal here? Just being confused/wrong doesn't make someone a baddie...it's the intentions that give them away...

    ...so we know PG was a QA, so why would the other QA's want to keep her alive so badly? If only one QA survives, it's easier to kill, because "a majority" is just that one QA...or do you think dnae is the MoS? But he wasn't really in danger of being lynched, and making himself suspicious kinda seems like a bad idea...I dunno, gotta think about this some more... -_-

    Hmmm....the more I think about it the more I think I-san could have been the other Mafia and banking on Aurora...cuz where in the world did the other Mafia go?

    Hmmm...or maybe...*more nagging suspicions*...

    Holy smokes, that was a lot to read! HeeHee..I sure created a ruckus! Dusty, Y-san, I-san..all outed just 'cause of little ol' me? How divine! Good thing I like to snowboard! Oh well, it was fun being a baddie while it lasted, but I'm just not cut out for it.

    Thanks for dying along with me UR, a noble sacrafice. However, I agree with I-san that you were a little too bossy and it was making me not want to play. But I read your reply and I believe that you are not truly that bossy of a person since historically you've been a fun BD pal.

    Anyhow...I just wanted to come clean with one last lie: NO BROWNIES!!!!

    Hehe...I'm glad you made me come out... *goes back to gloating*...being stubborn against UR was fun :P

    So we got a QA and with I-san gone, that seems like all of the QAs will be out. Bad news about the doctor. We need to nail another baddie tomorrow. Finding the GR seems like the next most important task. What do we have to go on? :unsure:

    Slick and Dnae are both acting suspicious and I've heard Cherry Lane's name being thrown around as well. Who is the top suspect? One of them, or someone else perhaps? (confirmed innocents opinions preferred, though baddies may try if they want to be caught :P )

    Haha, well, I won't actually be "confirmed" until I-san dies by my hand (or numchucks ;P)...sorry, and no offense I-san, if you're still reading this, but I'm really proud of my reasoning skills for this one, since I-san himself is/was very skilled at Mafia ;P...it was a great mental sparring match :D

    Anyways, I'll stop gloating for now, and say I suspect CL due to her eagerness to lynch PG (and have the day end on time), which was reminiscent of her eagerness to lynch PG last game, but for different reasons...I'll have to go over Slick and Dnae's posts again to say about them...

    Well, I was like, 95% sure he was a baddie, so whatever role he claimed to have had to be had by someone he thought was dead or wouldn't be trusted if they came out, and since you were the other person I specified as a possible Ninja target, it had to be your role ;P. Actually, I believed UR about you being innocent (since I suspect CL b/c I know her behavior, too ;P)...although I'm still confused as to why you accused me of being a QA...did you really not suspect I was the Ninja?

    Edit: Post 500! Another reason I <3 Mafia...;P

    a change I'm making: Ninja kills on 'prime' nights instead of 'odd nights except first'- ie, the 2nd night, 3rd night, 5th night, 7th night (won't make it past 7th night)

    Gaaah...yes, waiting for night 3 is sooooooo frustrating!!!!!
