  2. Sign me up already. Any ideas on when it'll be?

And honestly? With the end how it was, I expected to show up and read essentially the end of the Iliad, and it started off that way, too... however, this was truly epic, and a lot of fun to read. Excellent work, Itachi, and thank you for running the game. I'll take my sekrits whenever you're ready, though :)

Thanks! I'm not really sure when it will start. It might be a few weeks.

I forgot to mention Calchus' recruitment requirements. The first night/day cycle, the Achaean BTSC team had to get 4 people to type 'Tartarus' that were not on the BTSC team. I think they only got unreality ;)

The second was during the night. They had to get every player to post at least once, which was not even close :P

The third one was to get a God sacrificed. It could have been Athena or Apollo as long as no one on the Achaean BTSC team voted for them. Luckily for them everyone voted for dawh (Apollo) and they got Calchus :)

  3. Night 7: The horse of doom

Exhausted and out of ideas, the Trojan camp was thoroughly aggravated. They could hardly stand and listen to the inexperienced young Prince Paris any longer. "Rise up you fools! Just because Hector is dead there is no need to be so crestfallen! Rise up! Join me and..." The Trojans began to throw rocks at Paris, mocking him and praising the spirit of their fallen leader Hector. Paris retreated to the castle and found Helen sitting alone in the dark. She had been watching the meleƩ, a moonlit tear fell from her chin. Paris hugged her from behind and whispered: "Let us leave this disaster my dear. It is over for us and Troy. We could go to..."

    ***

Interrupting Paris' train of thought, the heavy gates began to open and a large wooden horse was being carted through it. "What is that?" he thought. Paris and Helen raced to the scene. He demanded an explanation as all the remaining Trojans crowded around in wonderment. An older Trojan general addressed Paris. "It is a gift from Achaea, believe it or not. Apparently they have exhausted their supplies and can carry on no longer. This gift was constructed for us so that we do not assault their retreat." A broad smile swept across Paris' face. They had done it! Lost so much, but actually beat those monstrous Achaeans back! Did Apollo abandon them then? Though confused all the Trojans rejoiced and had a splendid party in cheers to their victory.

    ***

Sun set. The Trojans slept, drunk and full, deep and dreamless, out like candles. The legs of the giant wooden gift horse creaked open ever so slightly. Odysseus led his men who had been hidden inside the hollow beast. He slit each guard's throat without a sound and the Achaeans advanced through the city, killing every Trojan in their path. Hera wept as she watched the slaughter. Poseidon uneasily stirred the seas in anticipation of the final victory call from those men he cherished. How crafty to gain entrance to the City of Troy, Poseidon thought. He swelled with pride for them. Aphrodite flew down to the beautiful lovers and woke them. Paris led Helen by the hand in an attempt to escape the city walls, but each way they turned, Achaeans were storming. Suddenly Helen seemed too light and quick. Paris looked back to see he was only carrying the stump of a severed arm. He dropped it and screamed like a girl. The Achaean demon-like warrior Diomedes then took a swing at Paris who dodged the swipe only to leap right into Odysseus' blade. Odysseus turned him around and spat in his face. Paris could only spurt up blood in defiance. Odysseus stared him down, "Troy will be erased from this Earth! Die coward. Fool. Weakling. At least your brother's blood was worth staining an Achaean blade, but you... you're far from worth it." He kicked Paris off and down to the ground where the young prince twisted in pain until he died. The Achaeans then raised Troy to the ground.

    ***

"You're my only hope, brother." Hera spoke to a man wearing a black cape and a black vicious-looking helmet. Behind the holes for his eyes, nose and mouth, only an even darker black could be seen as if he did not exist. "Please, Hades, take vengeance for me." Hades whipped his cloak around and looked Hera up and down. "You summoned me for that? What do I care about Troy or Achaea aside from the souls I've recently collected?" "Not them then. Zeus." She had garnered Hades' attention. "What about my brother?" "He wishes to rule over Tartarus. He has aligned with Poseidon, believing the two of them could destroy you." Hades laughed. "Hera... Zeus doesn't want Tartarus... that's why it's mine..." Hera knew she struck a nerve now. Hades would never forgive his brothers for essentially mocking him with the least valued dominion. Hades snarled. "To crumble Zeus' pedestal. That's always been my dream, and it seems yours as well. Worry not, I'll keep that secret safe." He smirked, a brief glimpse of fire could be seen behind his helmet. "What would you like me to do then? I'm all ears now Hera." Hera's face was serene, but her insides were leaping with joy. Hades would make such a valuable piece to the puzzle that would dethrone Zeus. And now he was ripe for use. "Well, there will need to be some extreme measures taken, but first..."

    ***

The Achaeans marched back to their ships with bundles of weapons, armor, and booty of course. Athena and Apollo left during the trek for Mount Olympus to report to Zeus per a message from Hermes. Odysseus then led them, as he had for some time now, but he paused when the ground erupted before them. As fast as lightning, and as dark as the night sky, a large figure on horse back flew up from a great depth to impede their descent. It was Hades himself! The Achaeans all dropped their spoils and took battle stances, swords unsheathed. Hades let forth a burst a fire so immense that all the Achaeans were sent back from the blast about twenty paces. A ring of fire surrounded both Hades and Odysseus. Odysseus' mind raced as he tried to think of how he could escape such an unfortunate event, but his thoughts were cut short by Hades' hand covering his face and pulling him toward his evil stallion. "Your leader has a price to pay in Tartarus. Yes. His punishment will be legendary. Know that he will not be able to escape on his own. So, if you wish to save him, you'll have to storm my castle and rest assured it will not be as easy as slaughtering those weak Trojans. No. You will all face death itself and it will eventually eat away at you until all your souls are mine!"

Diomedes spread his swords apart and raised his shoulders. "Why do this Lord Hades? What have we done to incur such wrath?" Hades threw a spear of fire through Diomedes' left arm, disintegrating it. The warrior fell to the ground in agony, but the Giant Ajax caught his friend before he hit the Trojan soil. The Lesser Ajax looked at Hades. A Demon God as hellish and vile as they come. Clad all in black atop a dead, yet living black stallion. The God held Odysseus by the face as if he were a doll. Odysseus could not even utter a sound. Hades gave the group a last glance and then vanished beneath the surface. The fire went out and the earth closed behind them. Nestor touched the ground where they vanished and pulled his hand away from the burning sensation. It was an evil feeling. Nestor only looked down at the charred earth "How do we get down to Tartarus? We'll need to call upon Athena I suppose." Calchus then grunted and coughed as if to make himself known to still be alive. "I... I may know a way... yes.. I remember now. The way to Hades' castle."

Great game everyone and thanks for playing! Congratulations to the Achaeans and Hermes for winning! ;)

I don't know when the next one will be, but it will feature Athena, Apollo, Hermes, Odysseus, Nestor, Diomedes, and Calchus. The Top 5 players were pretty easy to pick out. Unfortunately, not everyone could see the BTSC conversations, because there was really great gameplay from everyone.

Prof. Templeton, dawh, Brandonb, SomeGuy and unreality stood out from the group though (sorry for having no grid of actions, but like I said, this is mostly based on BTSC discussion, and SG for winning as an Independent :) )

All of those characters and those 5 players (should they play in the next game) will have a super-special-secret ability. B))

  4. It looks like the Trojans finally gave up given their PMs reverting to Helen and Paris eloping and fleeing the scene ;) I'll post the finale and the host's choice awards soon. :D The thing about the player stats is that a lot was done via PMs which are basically up to me to decide which ones were most logical and thoughtful. That being said, it's really obvious and they essentially go to the 5 most active and best reasoners during the game which happened to be one and the same. B))

Thanks for playing everyone! Last night post coming soon :)

  5. Day 6: Luck finds the Trojans, only too late

    A. Person stood before Hermes' shrine and raised the body of a goat, once stabbed. He carefully placed the goat on the altar so that its blood would flow about through the indented symbol on the floor. The symbol was that of a wing in honor of the Winged-Foot God Hermes. The blood stopped at a point though, so that only two thirds of the symbol was coated in the red blood of an official offering. A. Person stepped back from the shrine and gazed up at the statue of the Messenger God which almost looked to move in his direction and wink at him. After he scrubbed his glazed eyes, the statue had returned to its lifeless state.

    ***

A white hand then gently rested on his shoulder. He spun to face the Queen Goddess Hera. Hera wore a scowl. "I had much faith in you Trojans. Oh, how I wished for your victory over those filthy Achaean monsters... *sigh* at least you have all fought bravely for my sake. If only I wasn't forbidden to act more in this affair. May you last on brave Trojan, though I fear your end is near..." Hera vanished and A. Person stood in awe and yet despair at the same moment, knowing full well what awaited his Trojans: a voyage across the River Styx.

  6. OK, I guess I'll start it... though I guess it doesn't really matter which one is lynched :P

yeah, I asked if they just wanted to end it all last night, but they didn't. I'll probably end the day early with a few more votes and try to wrap up the game by tonight. B))

  7. Night 6: The Oath of Pain

The depleted Trojan force began to pant and clutch their knees. Hector rounded on them and swore that he would lead them to victory even if he was the last Trojan to live. His words hit his men's hearts and souls and lifted their spirits renewing their will to fight on. "No matter what happens, I will fight for you all to my death. And I vow that if I should die on this night, my skills shall not be lost to you." Hector drew his short sword and slashed his palm. He clenched his fist and drew it to his chin, blood dripping from it. "I make this blood oath that I shall protect the young Prince Paris and bestow on him all my ability should I die. Fear not Trojans. Though we are weakened, our land will be preserved this night. And though we may lose, our spirits will never die!" The young Prince Paris was lifted by his brother's words. But he asked himself if he'd have what it took to fight for his life when it came down to it. He was still unsure of this, but managed to wear the face of a warrior despite his indecisiveness. Hector looked into his brother's eyes and gave him a satisfied clap on the shoulder. "Fear not my brother. I will not let harm befall you this night."

    ***

The Achaeans revved themselves up. All yelling and pounding their spears as if they had already won. Odysseus and Diomedes smiled with bloodlust. Even the wise old Nestor had taken up spear and seemed to be speaking to himself. Some of the other Achaeans took notice and could almost see the man's appearance brighten and look youthful for an instant. Then Nestor turned to them and stared them down. Not a one could meet the old warrior's gaze. Odysseus took up his spear and pointed it up at Hector's diminished force. "It's over Trojans! It's over Mankiller! Do yourself a favor and take your own lives! It will be much less painful then if we have to charge up this hill to take them from you by force!" The Achaeans all laughed, but suddenly became silent when they saw the words had invigorated Hector. It looked as if his eyes were hot fire as he charged down toward them.

    ***

Hector reached the Achaeans on horseback, spearing one after the other. "This battle isn't over..." he slew another. "Until we say it is over!" and flung the corpse into another Achaean. "I will not take any more of your verbal lashings..." spearing through two men, "...coward Odysseus! Too afraid to take me on in a fair fight! Always ready to sacrifice another in your place! What gives you..." stabbing his spear into the ground and loosing the bodies from it, "the priveledge?! Now join me Trojans and we shall cut through these cowards like a scythe through grass!" Paris took up Hector's flank and quickly unloaded arrow after piercing arrow through the Achaean's necks and underarms with perfect accuracy to avoid their armor. Hector rounded on reaymond. Odysseus saw that reaymond had not a chance against such a foe. He raised a hidden chain in the gorund and ran with it around Hector's warhorse. The horse fell and Hector toppled with it. Hector never lost his composure though, so when Odysseus attempted the fatal blow Hector grabbed his spear and launched Odysseus over his fallen horse and right into Paris. Joe's Student saw the commotion and knew he must save the young Prince. Odysseus turned to impale Paris, but his blade went through the diving JS in his stead. JS' blood covered Paris' face, who turned his stallion and fled in complete disarray and abandon for his fellow Trojans.

    ***

Diomedes stalked the battlefield, looking for his prey. But when he found JS already dead, he did not sigh in relief. Rather, he screamed a curse that the one he wanted to kill with his own spear was already dead. He was robbed of his prize. His anger over this injustice carried him on through the Trojan ranks slaying one after the other in a vicious frenzy.

    ***

As reaymond brushed the dirt off his shoulder and readied for more action, there came a soft yet unsettling voice from behind him. "You're not going anywhere." And when reaymond turned to look at the beauty Helen, he indeed heeded her words and fell incapacitated to the ground. Just before dawn, Odysseus found reaymond and slapped the man to his senses. "Her again?" "Wha..? Oh yes... Yes! Odysseus you simply must see her some night. You wouldn't believe your eyes." Odyseeus dropped reaymond's head back down onto the soil with a thud. reaymond's breath and mind were still enamored with this woman. Odysseus shook his head as he returned to the ships. "Hmmm. Though illogical, curiosity of her beauty is actually starting to overwhelm my senses. Maybe I'll take a peak tomorrow. ...with ample preparation for any ill will that seems to shroud her existence of course." He kept mumbling on as he passed his soldiers who all snickered a bit at the first time they saw General Odysseus contemplate such an absurdity.

  8. Just checking in. I got all night actions, but now I need some more in response to some of them. Basically, I'm waiting on a few return PMs and I'll make the night post tonight if they come in by then. :) Go Eagles! :D ...well, now that the Chargers are out... <_<

  9. I chose transformation because it basically has it all when you get down to it. I would be able to transform myself into a person with any of the other superpowers B)) unless you meant I was only able to transform into a red semi-truck. Then I'd have to think about it more and probably go with telekinesis.

  10. I'm not going to be around late tonight or tomorrow. It's possible that if I get the night pms soon (within 3-4 hours), I can make the night post early tonight or we could just wait until Sunday morning. I'm fine either way. B))

  11. Day 5: Apollo's Rage

Apollo looked down at Troy in disgust as he rode his golden chariot across the sky. "I've had enough of this! Those Trojans thinking they still have a chance... How dare they not even try to appease me! Not even one Offering to the great Apollo?! Hmph!" He lashed his stallions on faster and faster. All the mortals looked to the sky as the sun raced toward the horizon and over it, tree shadows elongating until total darkness settled over Troy. Twin Pop was startled and fearful at the display and as soon as the sun set, he heard a crashing wave hit the shore like thunder. Twin Pop looked toward the ocean as Poseidon's Trident came flying out from the depths of the wave. The Trident speared Twin Pop and sent him flying through the air only to come to a sudden halt above the Temple of Hermes, cracking the crest at its peak. With his last words, Twin Pop spoke softly: "Please Hermes, join us. We need you ..now ...more than ever." Blood rained down from the body, splattering and pooling in front of the temple. Hermes accepted the Offering, but remained comfortable in his independence. Troy mourned the loss, but knew they had little time to spare before the next battle commenced.

  12. Night 5: Heavy Violence and Wicked Twists

Diomedes took in every word from the wise old Nestor. The warrior thanked the old man and departed from Nestor's chambers. Nestor sat back for a moment wishing he still had his youth. That he could enter the fray with the same vigilance and power he once called his own. But alas, time had taken its toll on the experienced warrior. Nevertheless, he rose, drew his sword and vowed to fight until his dying breath. He couldn't help but notice though, that Diomedes was already 30 paces ahead of him cutting down Trojan after Trojan with a renewed fighting spirit.

    ***

Odysseus was careful in his actions. Unbelievably to him, the coward Paris was actually in his sights. He would not waste this opportunity. "Paris!" Odysseus yelled at the fragile young prince. Paris paused his descent down to the beach and looked Odysseus right in the eyes. "Ha! You think I fear you?! Perhaps I'm no match for you in a duel, but I've escaped more sticky situations than you could possibly endure." Somehow I doubt that, Odysseus muttered to himself. Nonetheless, he charged Paris, but the Prince was surprisingly agile and he was able to unleash his arrows at a lightning pace almost rivaling the skill of Apollo. Odysseus was forced to take cover, but he took solace knowing that his endurance would prove superior.

    ***

Brandonb knew he was in over his head. He heard the thunderous crashes coming from up the hills. It was the Mankiller Hector to be sure. He knew he would stand almost no chance against such a foe. Almost immediately after the thought, Hector exploded several Achaean soldiers to his right and sent them tumbling away, all almost certainly dead from the God-like blow. He readied his spear and prepared to launch it at his next target: Bb.

Odysseus, still under cover from Paris' arrows looked Bb's way and saw Hector taking aim. He quickly released a tied rope that was keeping a mountain of logs in place. Having set the trap up in the dark of night whilst no others were around, the pile was overlooked by all who approached it during tonight's battle. The logs careened toward Hector who was forced to leap them and dodge one way and then the other. He survived the gauntlet, but when he regained his composure and looked for his former target, Bb had used the precious time to escape. This sent Hector into a murderous rage and he slew the six Achaeans that had advanced into his blindspot during the delay tactic with one fell swoop of his fabled spear. He stabbed the spear into the ground with all the men still attached and let out a fierce battlecry. Bb covered his ears from his hiding spot beneath a tarp covered in brush and grass only ten paces from the Mankiller. Relief filled Bb as he attentively listened to the pounding footsteps quiet as Hector sought out new prey.

    ***

unreality stood watch outside Troy's castle, without fear, for Aphrodite stood by his side, ready to whisk him away at the hint of danger. "Oh no!" she screamed. "What is it Goddess?" unreality looked to her with concern. "My Paris! My beloved Paris! He's in mortal danger from that foul Odysseus! I must go! I must save my beauty!" "Wai.. Wait! Wait! ...Damnit! What about me. To Hades with that lanky, coward Paris and all... ugh!" unreality was so busy being angry, he had not even bothered to notice Diomedes' approach. unreality was pierced clean through the chest with his spear. "But... no... way... you... you will soon face my vengeance!" "Tell me please, how you intend to exact vengeance without a head?" unreality reached for his sword despite his wound, but Diomedes was ready and loosed his sword from beneath his shield. He blocked unreality's sword with shield and then lopped his head right off in a deft circular swinging motion. unreality had only blood left for his mouth to spew. No more words. Diomedes watched his prey die and then jaunted across the fields to find another group of Trojans ripe for killing.

    ***

Paris was out of arrows, quiver emptied. Foolishly he spent them all without ever a clean shot at Odysseus. He screamed for JS who appeared almost within the instant. Odysseus raised his sword to end Paris' life, but JS blocked it. All the warriors seemed to stop fighting in order to watch this pivotal duel. Paris fled for safety leaving his savior JS to die as a martyr. Paris cared not for the man, only his own life. Aphrodite found him, swooped down plucking him up and returning to the Trojan Palace. Odysseus called after him: "You coward! Get back here and face your demise!" "HAHA! That's not how I role...play! Later, fools!" Paris comforted himself in Aphrodite's arms as she smoothed his hair and landed just outside his bedroom window to lay the young prince to bed. Meanwhile back on the battlefield JS and Odysseus went at it like madmen. Clang! Clang! Their swords were near breaking with each clash. Then Odysseus got the upper hand and sent JS onto his back with a brutal blow to the face with the side of his shield. Odysseus leaped onto JS and prepared to finish him off with a final blow when Agenor entered the stage and threw Odysseus off of JS. JS retreated, appalled at his defeat. Odysseus and Agenor stared each other down, but Odysseus did not lack the discipline to retreat when he was out of stamina. Both sides went their separate ways. Agenor spat on the ground in Odysseus' direction. "You'll wish you hadn't done that." Odysseus said aloud without ever looking back.

    ***

The Achaeans returned to their ships before the dawn only to find GC completely paralyzed. He was sitting on the bow of one of the ships as if he was in another world or daydreaming for that matter. Odysseus shook him to his senses. "What is it GC? What has gotten into you?!" "So beautiful... more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. The lady Helen Odysseus. I'll never forget that face for as long as I live." Odysseus shook his head and looked back up to the Trojan Castle. He suddenly became aware of Calchus' presence to his left. The old man in the cowl simply tugged on his hood and wandered away. "Hector fights bravely, I dare say. So let us begin fresh this day. Wine, water, food, they have the reserve, but an utter defeat they surely deserve." Odysseus' brain began to hurt from the constant oddities of the night. He permitted himself a brief respite and a nap and fell to sleep as his head touched down.

  13. Just checking in to show I'm active. :D

Me too ;) . And just to be clearer about the Day post since there were some questions: basically dawh was a God and therefore not able to be sacrificed. And the Achaeans fulfilled the recruitment criteria for Calchus. So now Calchus has sided with the Achaeans.

As for what the recruitment criteria was in the past and what it was when Calchus got recruited, I'll post those requirements when the game is over.

  14. Day 4: Enter Calchus

dawh sat by the ocean on a large flattened boulder. He was idly skipping pebbles across the water's surface when he sensed the presence of a fellow God behind him. It was Hera. Hera took a dignified stance behind dawh, never actually looking at him. As a matter of fact, dawh didn't hazard a glance in her direction either. He simply continued to toss the randomly strewn pebbles. "What news Hera? I know you are not here to take my life... if you even could that is." "Hah! Let it be known to you and the world that I indeed could if only Zeus had not forbade my interference with others from Olympus. And why would I want your life dawh? Why indeed? I think you know. Yes. You know all too well..." "So then why do I get the pleasure of your company? Please enlighten me Hera for I grow weary of this conversation." "How it pains me to deliver you good news... " dawh twisted his head around to see Hera staring off into the deep water. Was she looking out for Poseidon? Maybe. But no matter. dawh's thoughts stopped then.

A shivering man in a dark cowl emerged from behind Hera. "You have successfully satisfied Olympus' condition today. You may now use this prophet's power, albeit as random as it is, it will certainly come into usefulness sooner or later. Now, I'll take my leave for I fear I can't hold back my anger any longer. Farewell dawh." "Hmm. You as well Hera. And thank you for the news." Both ended the conversation in half sarcasm and half truth to their words. dawh rose from his lounging position and walked over to Calchus who simply stood in awe of the God, cowering and looking down at the ground. dawh then clasped Calchus on the shoulder and whispered: "Forget your worries friend. We have much to talk about."

  15. Night 4: A Long Wait for No Action

The two camps were pounding their spears into the ground waiting for all their members to arrive and take position. The pounding on the ground was like a thunderous earthquake. Hector was screaming at the top of his lungs like a wild man, daring eyes staring deep into each of men, psyching them up. His temper grew ferocious every time his eyes made contact with the Achaean camp below. Finally, all had arrived, and just as Hector raised his sword for the Trojans to make their move down the steep onto the Achaean's for the fourth night of battle, his hand was halted before he could scream his battlecry. Before him and the entire Trojan army stood the giant God of War, Ares. He towered over everyone by at least the height of a man and then some. His beard of flames whipped in the night's wind, but for the most part, silence had found dominion among them now. "I understand you are all eager to kill those damned Achaeans, but tonight is not the night. Trust my judgment. I have been in more battles than all of you put together. Tonight, we wait. And do not worry about your foes. I've made it so that they cannot pass beyond the distant beach's border for the night. All of you must settle and recalibrate your minds. Something is amiss and we must settle it before tomorrow's eve." He let go of Hector's sword. All the Trojans bowed to the great God Ares. He inhaled with pride and then came the chants for Ares. "Ares! Ares! Ares!.." the ground began to thunder again and Hector leaped onto his war horse. He had him trot over to the edge of the precipice and shouted down to the hated Achaeans: "We have the mighty Ares on our side! How can you, who cannot even lift arm against us now, still be capable of thinking you can win!? You only mock yourselves! Tomorrow, we're coming to bring the pain!" Odysseus looked up at the menace, his mind calculating all possibilities for the ensuing battle. Just how was he to take down this Mankiller Hector? He was fine with the delay. He justified his satisfaction in the notion that he needed more time to think. After and above all, he had the God of War against him.

dawh paced in the silence. He was not eager to wait out the night. But he was suddenly relieved of his impatience and frustration. A hand caressed his shoulder. How could he not have noticed this woman's presence? He dared a look at her face. It was ...Helen... He surprised even himself by collapsing in ecstasy on the spot.

    ***

Odysseus sneered up at Hector who finally steered his black war horse away from the cliff. Odysseus shook his head and withdrew to his ship's strategy room only to find the trustworthy Nestor waiting for him. Nestor and Odysseus went over many plans on the map of the Trojan shores that lay before them. Odysseus was awed at Nestor's knowledge. Just how old was this man? and how many battle had he fought in to know this much of war? Odysseus' confidence rose. He was beginning to feel very good about the next day and night.

Day 4 begins now and ends in 24 hours.

  16. Once again, inactivity kills the game... I'm waiting on a PM that would be very unfair if I skipped over it. It looks like the night will be delayed until tomorrow. <_< Also, we may need yet another replacement... what's the most annoyed smilie? I guess another two of these <_< <_< Sorry for the delay.

  17. Paris is cut off and only needs to guess their own actions to get BTSC with us [not sure why it works that way, but it was itachi's decree].

[clarifying]*the following is not validating any info from anyone, only the game's integrity :D * actually, it's right in the OP. If Priam dies, Paris gains his ability. (read Paris' RD) Priam may guess 3 diff. char. actions. If they are correct and the char. is a Trojan they will become part of the Trojan BTSC. (read Priam's RD). Therefore if Priam dies, Paris may guess a Trojan's action and if correct, get them onto the Trojan BTSC, even if he himself is not a part of the BTSC group. Priam may have guessed Paris' action, therefore Paris may guess Paris' action with Priam's ability. This is the same for Agamemnon/Odysseus on the Achaean side as well.[/clarifying]

OK, the night may go on as planned. there is hopefully enough time for the new players to get acquainted with what they need to do. The night will end in about 4 hours unless they need more time to get situated. Thanks for playing Izzy and ST, and let's hope O'mally can keep on truckin' ;)

  19. The game may have to be suspended for a little while. We need replacements for O'mally(inactive too long) and ST(banned for 2 days from BD).

Any takers out there? People playing, please PM people you may think would be interested. First come, first serve. 2 open slots.

Edit: The night will not end until we have replacements so that we can have a proper day with a full vote.

  20. Day 3: The Man who refused to be Sacrificed

Brandonb felt as if he lived the same day twice. His head was a jumble of thoughts. "Did I just not hear these same voices yesterday? Am I to risk a visit with the Gods again today? And... I fear Athena will not be able to intervene this time as she did the last. ...well, I suppose there's nothing to it, but to face the call of Tartarus."

Bb walked along the shore thinking these somewhat delusional and depressing thoughts when it appeared to him that the tide was closer than it ought be at this time of day. He looked out over the sea, at the waves and suddenly they halted. It was a pure and serene stillness. Bb felt at peace and renewed in his vigor for the battle. Far off in the depths of sea, a platform of water rose, and on top of that another platform, and another, and another, each one smaller than the next until the final plateau raised high above Brandonb's vantage point. He could only make out the top of a throne carved from coral and bone and the tip of a golden trident.

Poseidon rose from his seat so that his eyes met Brandonb's. "My faithful Achaean Brandonb. Luck surrounds you today for I have beaten Hera to your location. Allow me to offer you the protection of my daughters, the seductive and tantalizing Sea Nymphs, for the day. They will shield your presence until the Sun sets. Then they must return to the water and you will be on your own again. I have faith in you though. And am proud of your achievements thus far. Continue on and do not disappoint me. The Achaean's cause is one that I hold dear to my heart. Farewell child." The throne descended and the sea returned to normal. Brandonb was left in a joyful embrace of comfort and harmony for the remainder of the day's light.
