  5. I agree with your comment that the bottles will have the count on them but i worry about the precision needed of drinking 1/3 since you are assuming perfect dissolution. I think TSLF was the closest once a little clean up is applied.
  6. You made 2 Assumptions one though is not of as much of a consequence: 1. You don't know if Two or three came from the same bottle. 2. You assume that each prescription is of the same count.

  8. Remember if you take more than one of the same type, at the same time, you die. So taking all three will definitely mean that you took more than one of the same kind.
  9. Two bottle of pills must be taken to keep you alive. The two must be taken at the same time. Forgetting a pill, taking one and not the other, or taking two of the same one will result in your death. You open the two bottles and pour them both into your hand without thinking. Three pills fall out on your hand. Unfortunately the two pills look, feel, and weigh exactly the same. How do you ensure that you don't take the wrong pill? Assume that these pills are super expensive and cannot be discarded. So throwing the pills away and just picking one pill each is not a viable option.
  10. You have N cars that are all traveling the same direction on an infinitely long one-lane highway. Unfortunately, they are all going different speeds, and cannot pass each other. Eventually the cars will clump up in one or more traffic jams. In terms of N, what is the expected number of clumps of cars?

  19. I am not sure If I understand your games. Besides each game is supposed to be a losing game for the player if the player played it exclusively.

  21. Two robots are parachuted onto a spot of a discrete number line that stretches infinitely in either direction. They are an unknown distance apart. Where they land, they drop their parachute. They begin executing the same set of instructions at the same time. Unfortunately, these are not very good robots, and they only understand commands in character form. There is only room for 10 instructions. Possible instructions are as follows: L: Move left one space R: Move right one space S: Skip the next instruction if and only if there is a parachute at my feet 0-9: Move to this position in the instructions (If the instructions are LRS1, the 1 would move the robot back to the 'R') Every step takes the same amount of time to execute, including parachute skips and moving through the instructions. There is no variable storage. The robots begin executing from step 0. What set of instructions will result in the two robots ultimately finding each other on the infinite number line in every case? There are multiple possible answers.
