  1. Breakers wash upon my shore White waves against the five. In the clear, one is broken, Freeing all to fly. Speed is key to what I do, Magic to the eye. Nothing to me in the end; Please answer, “Who am I?”
  2. Aaryan nails it. Good job.
  3. Nah . . . I'm not into riddles with abstract answers.
  4. Plainglazed with the win.
  5. Exchanging Letters I don’t care. Feed me anything That’s why I’m here. Take me with you And hold me tight. I’m the habit you kick, The one called life.
  6. Hi EDM, Plasmid, PG, and all you riddle-heads . . . nice to see this site up and running again. Not sure if anyone's got this yet. Answer?
  7. Nothing yet. Here's a re-write. The first draft is lousy. Sorry. The first heading east Foot in stride Trailing a candle— It’s “you” behind Two grades looking back Not failing but near A pole before them the last unheard.
  8. Eighteen heading east foot in step behind a candle the amputee his pet. Two dogs heading back with a pole for rest— laughing silhouette puts an end to this test.
  9. Time Out nails it. Damn. I must be losing my edge.
  10. Dust on dated knuckles, Time on aged hands, Suited for the dirty work Or skin on skin for land. Sport in heated industry Industrious in sport, Loss of limb’s edge on fate Or honor’s curt retort.
  11. Well done Herr Ham. Fabulous as always and I kneel to thee (thought I'd start off a bit easy having been so long away). Stay tuned for challenge!!
  12. Kiss me under Summer's sun Curse me when it bows. Neck me under gala nights Turning heads and crowds. Cut me, crush me, make me wet, Your mirror I will be; Just don’t cast me in a look, For woe to those who see.
  13. This one laid to rest rather quickly. Good job Aziraphael.
  14. I stand out of reach Identity beyond Hardened years Both here and gone. Broken and bullied with blade and nail The sight of my face Your fear would assail. I stand for the worst And rise for the least A garland a gift Oft lain at my feet.
  15. Heck, I was just spitballing.
  16. Dragon, the "who was he" is not part of the original brainteaser as I found it. That's just Older asking for a possible answer.
  17. You didn't understand Dragon.
  18. Yeah, Memento is good. Itachi, Agree on the tense dialogue flicks. Love 12 angry men, and what a stellar cast. I'm surprised nobody mentioned any Hitchcock . . . Rear Window rocks!
  19. Shakeepuddn: What was the significance of "strongest fated?"
  20. Easy relative to YOU!! Well done.
  21. Nothing yet, though some good answers along the right track. Ak4su, I agree about riddles which are so vague that many answers would actually fit the bill just as well as the correct one. Such is not the case with this particular riddle. None of the wrong answers fit "all" the clues with ease, certainly none given so far. As with most of mine, the one correct answer will be clearly obvious in light of other possibles. In my opinion, that is what makes a GOOD riddle. Sure, one can make an effective argument for their guesses, such as Molly Mae did for the Death and the Maiden riddle, but the correct answer is usually the more elegantly simple one (hats off to WOD). That said, any guesses? Good luck.
  22. I'm not sure if you want me to post favorite recent cliched movies or my favorite flicks of all time (as you have listed some lesser knowns from years past). I'll stick with the latter, though I'm showing my age here. Anyway, these come highly recomended from an aficionado of good film: To Kill a Mockingbird The Graduate The Sting Three Days of the Condor Klute Catch 22 One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2012) The Spy Who Came in from the Cold Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe The Lion in Winter (superb!) A Man for all Seasons There are many, many more, but I tried to list those provocative films that reflect an entertaining and artistic level and mood, while requiring as well a mental participation for their fullest enjoyment.
