    Rat Hunt Mafia

Host: Yuli and Molly Mae 1. plasmid 2. 3. 4. 5. KlueMaster 6. maurice 7. Auramyna 8. Is Mr. Green's killing role a RID kill, or does he just name the player or role to kill 'em? Does Dr. White get added to BTSC if he miraculously turns undercover? Also, I foresee confusion about the term "baddies" referring to cops and "goodies" being criminals. At least, I plan to use that excuse if when I get tied up in my web of lies.
  2. If you have a computer in your room, leave a web browser open to a Google search of "practical jokes" with a bunch of the links clicked. Seriously, some of them are so bad that even just talking about them would be enough to disturb a roommate. The one that comes to mind is putting clear saran wrap over the toilet (covering the bowl, but underneath the seat part that flips down). I promise I have never tried that one out.
  3. OK, used my super VIP powers to add a few lines to the original riddle.

Unlikely, but to kick things off
  5. Not phases of the moon; while the number of visible craters may wax and wane, those particular numbers of holes wouldn't be explained by the angle of the sun at those times.

    Newbie Mafia

Scheduling all around lil' ol me? I'm flattered! =P I'll be off from Sept 24 to Oct 2, and will not be incredibly busy in the week before then. Afterwards, I start a month that's going to be absolute murder! Yay!
  7. As usual, Shakee's answer teaches me a new tidbit. The fact that I didn't know about it beforehand of course means that it's not the answer I had in mind, but Amonkkilla's second guess is starting along that track.
  8. Thanks for getting this one kicked off, MM. Not any type of clock. This one's a bit of a departure from my usual style (since all of the smarty-pantses seem to have caught on to my tricks). I'll give it a few days and see if any hints are needed, as there certainly aren't a ton of clues at this point.
  9. By my logic Given their perfomance could be grounds for war Where several such acts possibly settle the score could be

    Newbie Mafia

Anyone know if the next newbie mafia might start soon, or will wait until the roster's full? I have a rare week off at the end of September and would be able to play if it happens to be around then.
  11. Here's an approach that can (in principle) work without resorting to a computer, but in practice the equations get Messy beyond my threshold of tolerability (which was rather high as shown by my Puzzle Land part V problem) But hopefully there's a cleaner way of doing this.

I tend to agree with Thalia, but if not that...

  14. Lol, I just realized Cap'n... We really did have the same answer the entire time!
  15. Wandering about near the shoreline was mouth-watering with the size of the seagulls nearby. But Snowpaw knew how dangerous they could be. None of those nearby looked feeble enough to make for an easy meal, so he turned his attention elsewhere and noticed the torn ear belonging to Westerly. "Bloody hell, what have you been getting yourself into old chap?" "Heh, crossed paths with that Pavon fellow, and found myself on the business end of a talon." While the cats liked Pavon, or rather, the small tasty birds that tended to gather wherever Pavon traveled, the feeling was not mutual. "Hope you've at least gotten a mouthfull of nosh for your trouble." "That I have, my boy; that I certainly have." Out of the corner of his slitted eyes, Snowpaw caught a passerby apparently taking heed of the pair of cats. He found a nearby piece of string to start batting around, and taking his cue Westerly took to grooming himself until the human passed them by and was out of eye- and earshot. "What's brought that bloke back to our corner of the world, anyway?" "One can only guess. After all, I was in no position to chat." "Well, thanks for the tip. I'll make sure he's not in sight before my next pounce. Take care, Wes."

Oh, that's right. "Lemma" means lemma, "claim" means what we're trying to prove.
