Well, the f(n) = lim(x->n)f(x) was e-mailed to him. So yes, unless you mean another formula.

So I asked my maths teacher. She didn't know (..which I kind of expected). My science teacher is e-mailing one of her friends about it though! I _will not_ let this sequence go unsolved! *sulks at not being able to solve it due to a lack of math skills* Like, I know how to do f(x), if {x->n} is similar to {p->q}, then I know that as well, but what's the limit bit?

Gah, I kept trying weird multi-step equations. Which got me noooowhere.
  5. Izzy

Way better that way! Going to PM now.

^ The problem I have with that is that there's nothing I wouldn't want to be informed about if it really came down to it.

Does it have anything to do with antonyms or letter counting or anything? I'm still confused.
  8. Izzy

100%. I've played a fair few games like that before though.
  9. Izzy

Of course it isn't. Remember 1984.

Just PM when when you get home from school/work/whatever and be like "Sorry if this is a bit early, but I'm off to bed soon!" I'm sure he'll understand.

It's not a problem though. Then again, I don't live in the UK. No matter how we do it, someone will be unhappy. The optimal solution, be online to the best of your ability. It's not like the prizes are ranked so that if you post first, you get the best thing.

    Umm.. Hint please?

Okay, here's why we shouldn't do that. I'll use player 1 and 2 as examples. Let's say player one if from London, and we decide the riddle should be posted noon London time. Player 2 can be from Orlando, with a time of -5. Let's say player 1 sends in the answer to their riddle at 1PM their time, because they logged on just as the riddle was posted. Now, player two logs on at 11AM their time (Making it 4PM in London), solves the riddle, and waits until noon exactly to send it in. This makes the time they took to solve it seem like 0:00 even if they took x amount of time. Woon should just post the riddle, whenever, and award people in whatever order the PMs came in.

LMAO. I feel like printing this out and handing it to my English teacher.

What have we solved so far?
  18. Izzy

That one was easy. I love simple puzzles.
