0 Guest
the puzzle says the mountains r standing between the river. walk to the other mountain without using the bridge. you can always just go across with the 2 apples.( make sure to take the sign off first) tell the lady: I dont care about you! U can go *beeeeeeep* naw im jk go around under the bridge (crawl) since the mountains are in b/w the river, go around the perimeter of the 2 mountains then climb up the mountain
0 Faizaan
hmmm.... If its a joke kind of thing..the sign will collapse if the bridge is crossed with more than an apple. so just take two apples across, Who CARES if the sign falls over. Just take off the sign. then the Bridge cant possibly collapse... because it doesn't say so!

0 Faizaan
Juggle the apples so that only one weighs on the bridge at a time! But we've already ruled that out because the bridge can read your mind...AAAAHHHH!!!
0 Guest
hmm...depends on how in shape you are, but... i would check my body for any cuts or open wounds/sores of any kind and as long as there aren't any, I would swim across the river. Piranha only attack if they sense blood. btw, they are real easy to fish for, just put some bloody beef on a hook that is tied to a stick, drop it in and splash the stick in the water a lot (they think its a dying animal thrashing) you will get a bite near instantly! i caught a ton of them in the amazon jungle. you can offer the lady some nice grilled fish as well as apples (they taste a bit like flounder)
0 Gambit
drag em across... Put the apples in a container. Tie a rope to the container. The rope has to be at least the length of the bridge. Hold one end of the rope and walk across the bridge, leaving the container with the apples behind. Then just pull the container across when you're on the other side. Dont know if that makes sense but i'm sure it will work...
0 Shakeepuddn
HA! Bring the wench some damn seeds and tell her to be patient, then she can have as many apples as she likes!

Juggling does not - standard "answer" for this riddle, but it's wrong.
0 Guest
You guys are so smart! I dont even know how to reply to those of your peculiar answers! But the answer what im looking for is already answered from one of you. It's the juggle thing. LOLS XD. And most of you wont surely find that standard-answer like bonanova said. But actually it is. Unfortunately, I know you wont consider it. Sorry. But that is the answer for this.
0 Guest
It's the juggle thing. LOLS XD. Sorry. But that is the answer for this. Assume you have only one apple. Even then, when you throw it to air, your total force that is applied to the bridge, will exceed (1 man and 1 apple)x g, and the bridge will collapse. 0 Guest
Okay, if its the old juggling routine, I can juggle four, so one for me and one ofr the teacher too!
0 Guest
May collapse if you across with more than 1 apple. There is no definite weight. Just a person and an apple it can accomodate. Juggling works. Math has nothing to do with this one. The bridge is intelligent and "knows" if you have more than one apple at a time. Now that's some engineering. I agree... the juggling thing was the first thing that I thought of but I didn't want to post it because that answer was already there! It's not about the force and it's not about the mass! You could weigh 110 or 300 pounds, it makes no difference, the bridge won't collapse as long as you are holding one apple.
