Question

Three Teams.

Fifteen Castaways.

One Island.

One Destiny.

One Winner.

One Survivor

ASTRAY.

*** Game Process ***

3 teams of 5 each

- immunity challenges, 2 teams win each challenge, the loser going to Tribal Council (TC), where one person is voted off from that team by their fellow team members and eliminated from the game

- the first team to hit 2 people gets split up into the other 2 teams, one person going to each of the other teams randomly

2 teams left now

- now only team wins immunity, the other goes to Tribal Council

- when the total drops to 5 people, the teams merge into one

1 team left, of 5 people: the final 5

- immunity is individual, with only one person winning

- the team goes to TC after each immunity challenge, with the immunity-winner exempt from being voted for

- when it gets down to 2 people, the Jury decides who wins. The jury consists of 5 people, from the 7th place person to the 3rd place person, and they hold a final discussion where questions are asked, etc, then each juror casts their vote for the ultimate winner. For the ultimate survivor.

*** Tribal Council ***

A brief discussion will be held in public, then I start the voting and everyone PMs me the name of the person they want kicked off the team. I will tally the votes and the person will be asked to leave the show immediately :) (hehe). If the game is down to one team: Before the vote (during the discussion), if the Immunity Holder (IH) wants to give the immunity to someone else, they must state it before the voting begins!

- It takes majority (above 1/2) to kick someone off the island

- Immunity-Holder: if the game is down to 1 team and someone votes for the person with immunity, I will reply and tell them to change their vote. Also, the IH votes just like everyone else

- Hidden Immunity: if someone has a secret immunity idol, when they PM me their vote they must also tell me they want to use it, or if they want to give it to someone else

- Before revealing the vote tally, I will reveal if anybody used a hidden immunity or transferred immunity to anyone else. This can affect the voting: if someone is revealed as immune, all votes against that person are void, and the second-most voted person is sent packing

- In the event of a tie, I will constrict the ballot to the names involved in the tie, and redo the vote. If the vote is still tied after the second redo, other options will be pursued

*** Rules ***

The No's

: No insulting

: No complaining

: No announcing in-topic or in a PM that you have sent your vote in to me, or who you voted for, though you can of course say beforehand who you will vote for (however true that may be :P)

: No not having fun :D

The Yes's

: You can PM each other privately, but CC me in the PM!!!

: Please PM your vote in soon after I call for the votes, or as soon as you can. If a majority is reached before you have the chance to vote, you will be excluded from the vote, unless I know that you have an immunity idol, in which case I will wait to see if you use it. This won't affect anything or give away info because nobody knows who has PMed me

*** Challenges ***

I have a few ideas for challenges already, and may create a system of stats, numbers, etc, and possibly reward challenges to go with that, not sure yet. I will think on the finer details while people sign up :D

*** Sign Up ***

the roster:

Corsican Fever

1) Janesia - 76% - 6/6 Pr, 6/6 Fm

2) Cherry Lane - 77.5% - 6/6 Pr, 6/6 Fm

3) GC - 87.6% - 8/8 Pr, 4/4 Fm

4) Frost - 83.5% - 4/4 Pr, 8/8 Fm

5) Ben_Law - 89% - 6/6 Pr, 6/6 Fm

Children of Rage

1) NM - 81% - 8/8 Pr, 4/4 Fm

2) Taliesin - 84% - 7/7 Pr, 5/5 Fm

3) Wally West - 79.5% - 6/6 Pr, 6/6 Fm

4) Crazypainter - 71.9% - 4/4 Pr, 8/8 Fm

5) Frozen - 67% - 10/10 Pr, 2/2 Fm

Team

1) Brandonb – 84.6% - 0/1 Pr, 2/14 Fm

2) Itachi – 93.2% - 0/11 Pr, 4/4 Fm

3) Sinistral – 90.4% - 0/7 Pr, 1/8 Fm

4) Mekal – 85.6% - 0/5 Pr, 5/10 Fm

5) Phazon Hopper – 90.9% - 0/6 Pr, 3/9 Fm

I'm not counting NM's changes cuz he used the old roster I accidentally posted, and he didn't take into account his 81% Health in connection to getting 8 food - and then I can't count WW's either because it was based off of NM's already distorted posted-version. The roster confusion was my fault, sorry - NM and WW can do their providing now :D

No, my calculations were based on the exact roster you posted!

This is based off:

Children of Rage

1) NM - 81% - 8/8 Pr, 4/4 Fm

2) Taliesin - 84% - 7/7 Pr, 5/5 Fm

3) Wally West - 79.5% - 6/6 Pr, 6/6 Fm

4) Crazypainter - 71.9% - 4/4 Pr, 8/8 Fm

5) Frozen - 67% - 10/10 Pr, 2/2 Fm

Okay, I think this works out:

NM spends 1 unit Pr at a time, cooks it, at eats it, giving him .81*(1.02)^4 =.877 health. He now has 0 Fm. He then spends the rest of his Pr to get .877*4=3.51 units of food. CP spends her 4 Fm to get 2.87 food, for a total of 6.38 food now. Taliesin cooks 3 units and consumes them, bringing him to.90 health. Taliesin then spends his 7 Pr to buy 6.3 units of food. 6.3+3.38=9.68 units of food. I buy my food 1 unit at a time, and consume them raw, spending 5 units and putting my health at .835. I then spend my last point to buy .835 units of food and consume .51 units and put .32 units in the common pool so that there are 10 units in the common pool and my health is at .84. We then use Crazypainter's 8 Fm and Taliesin's leftover 2 Fm to cook the 10 units and feed them to Frozen, giving him .87 health. He then spends his Pr to buy .87 units. Using my 6 Fm and his 2 Fm we cook 8 units and feed them to Crazypainter, giving her .879 health. I consume the leftover .7 units raw. So I've consumed 4.8 units of raw food, no one else has.

Children of Rage

1) NM - 87.7% - 0/8 Pr, 0/4 Fm

2) Taliesin - 90% - 0/7 Pr, 0/5 Fm

3) Wally West - 84.7% - 0/6 Pr, 0/6 Fm

4) Crazypainter - 87.9% - 0/4 Pr, 0/8 Fm

5) Frozen - 87% - 0/10 Pr, 0/2 Fm

BL uses 6 Pr to procure 5.3 units of food. Cooks all, and eats 1.5 (BL – 92 – 0/6 -0/6) gives 3.8 to GC.

GC eats 2.5 of the cooked food, with 1.3 remaining (GC – 92.6 – 8/8, 4/4)

GC uses 8 Pr to get 7.4 food. Cooks 4. Now has 5.3 cooked, 3.4 raw. Gives all to Frost.

Frost cooks 3, now has 8.3 cooked, 0.4 raw. Eats 4.5 (Frost – 92.5 – 4/4, 5/8).

Frost uses 4 Pr to get 3.7 food. Cooks 4 food, leaving 7.8 cooked and 0.1 raw. (Frost – 92.5 – 0/4, 1/8) Gives remaining 7.8 cooked/ 0.1 raw to CL

CL eats 7.5 cooked food (CL – 92.5 – 6/6 – 6/6) leaving 0.3 cooked, 0.1 raw

CL uses 6 Pr to get 5.5 food. Cooks all in posession. (CL – 92.5 – 0/6 – 0/6). Gives remaining 5.8 cooked food toJanesia

Janesia eats all 5.8 cooked food (Jan – 87.8 – 6/6 – 6/6)

Janesia uses 6 Pr to get 5.2 food. Cooks all and eats 2.9 (Jan – 93.6 0/6, 0/6)) with 2.3 remaining

BL eats 0.8, GC eats 0.5, Frost eats 0.5, CL eats 0.5

New stats:

Corsican Fever

1) Janesia – 93.6% - 0/6 Pr – 0/6 Fm

2) Cherry Lane – 93.5% - 0/6 Pr – 0/6 Fm

3) GC – 93.6% - 0/8 Pr – 0/4 Fm

4) Frost – 93.5% - 0/4 Pr – 1/8 Fm

5) Ben_Law – 93.6% - 0/6 Pr – 0/6 Fm

Dang, nice work CL! We have a ton of health now. :D

Thanks. That is, if I did it right. This project "ate up" my whole evening. I didn't even get any real dinner!

(Well, this, and trying to catch up on the board in general. Not being able to read at work is getting to be a pain!)

Ah just use some lemon and lime to make ceviche! I am all for sushi as well :P

Is this table right?

Children of Rage

1) NM - 87.7% - 0/8 Pr, 0/4 Fm

2) Taliesin - 90% - 0/7 Pr, 0/5 Fm

3) Wally West - 84.7% - 0/6 Pr, 0/6 Fm

4) Crazypainter - 87.9% - 0/4 Pr, 0/8 Fm

5) Frozen - 87% - 0/10 Pr, 0/2 Fm

WW,

I do just what you say.. now will you do the math for me? I did it but I am not getting the correct answer.

Frozen buys 8.7 units, not .87 units, sorry. And I like my broccoli oven-roasted. Love that caramelized goodness. ;)

Wow, I am so impressed at every one's dedication to the game. You all took so much time out of your days just to do calculations for this!

*stands up and begins slow clap*

I am incredibly awed at my teammates and my opponents.

Great dedication, CL. :D That's what Team CORSICAN FEVER is known for. :P BTW, I got the food at my college for breakfast, don't know how. I guess unreality wings are real large. :P

Yeah, Brandon. I am through and through, a veggie. I guess I can just eat them uncooked and serve the cooked part to my team. Good idea, though our host would not accept it.

DID I die?

No, I began a slow clap to admire every one's dedication to the game. They all spent so much time figuring out the health etc. Then someone told me “flattery will get you every where”. I asked to go to Jamaica.

4) Frost – 93.5% - 0/4 Pr – 1/8 Fm

5) Ben_Law – 93.6% - 0/6 Pr – 0/6 Fm

Children of Rage

1) NM - 87.7% - 0/8 Pr, 0/4 Fm

2) Taliesin - 90% - 0/7 Pr, 0/5 Fm

3) Wally West - 84.7% - 0/6 Pr, 0/6 Fm

4) Crazypainter - 87.9% - 0/4 Pr, 0/8 Fm

5) Frozen - 87% - 0/10 Pr, 0/2 Fm

4) Mekal – 85.6% - 0/5 Pr, 5/10 Fm

When people do food stuff, they seem to only be re-pasting their own team. Please re-post the ENTIRE roster, or it gets very confusing! Thanks :D

First Immunity Challenge: Obstacle Course

Welcome to the first IC, set here on this tropical beach (imagine it :D)!

For this challenge, two members from each team must sit out, leaving three people on each team as the main players. There are three square mats on the sand, close to each other - each mat corresponds to a team, and each team's players are standing on the mat.

One player from each team, however, is locked within a cage just behind the mat - locked with them each is a metal detector, which is missing its batteries. Next to each mat is a turn-table cuboid circle type thingy meant for decoding encryptions. You can flip, slide, and rotate blocks to mess around and search for the answer. For someone to attempt to decrypt the code, they must spend a certain amount of time there. If someone does decrypt it, out pops a single battery (the metal detector requires two batteries to work).

However one player should probably sprint across the sand when I blow my whistle, across the beach to the shooting gallery - which is just three side-by-side contraptions. Shooters must fling stones (from a large pile), trying to break a clay panel 50 feet away. The panel's bottom edge is hooked to a rope which is anchored into the ground, and the panel's top edge is hooked to a rope which goes up, around a pulley, straight across overhead, and then on another pulley, dangling a key above the shooter's head. If the shooter breaks the clay panel, the string will be pulled by the key's weight and the key will fall into the shooter's hands.

The key can be used to unlock the cage.

The key can ALSO be used to unlock a certain chest. The only problem is, the chest is underwater, a ways out in the ocean. You must swim out and dive down, unlocking the chest. There is one chest for each team, with different locks on each. In each chest is a single waterproof battery (the metal detector requires two to work).

Once you've unlocked the metal detector (along with your third teammate), and have both batteries, you can insert them and run the metal director. You must use the metal detector to locate the final prize - a hunk of Island Gold, which will serve as one of the immunity idols.

The only problem is, the idol is buried in sludge which is toxic to humans. The sludge is contained a short sprint away into the jungle, in a large holding pin (nothing is dug below-ground, it's all raised). You must climb up (there is a ladder) to the wooden posts that are sticking out of the sludge, and balance on them, waving the metal detector around. It takes a lot of toughness to balance yourself for what could be a long time over a precarious drop into toxic, disgusting-smelling sludge (with fumes wafting up), while the hot sun glares down on you. If you fall in (or if you jump in to grab the idol once you've found it), you need to get out QUICK, and the effects won't harm your Health.

Now, remember that only one team goes to Tribal Council, and there is a secondary idol. When a team obtains the first idol, a cage far off springs open, revealing a small cubbyhole where the second idol is hidden. At any time, a team can run into the forest and push one of three mine carts through the jungle - it is extremely heavy, and depending on people's Strengths, will probably require all three people to push. Once you get to the cave, you must put the second idol into your cart to win immunity, and thus sending the 3rd team to Tribal Council. Note that this secondary idol doesn't open until the first idol is obtained, though you can start pushing your ore cart before that.

Each team should pick the two people they want to sit out, as well as who they want in the cage, and after all three teams have decided, I will explain how this will actually be played out - it's heavily related to stats, numbers, etc.

Note - I will be gone for about 2 and a half hours after posting this, might not even be able to get on for 3 hours or more. So if people figure out their lineup for this challenge really quick, be patient :D Thanks!
