Can you explain the solved ones?

There is not much to explain. In the original post, certain words are in bold. The object is to name them. Based on the existing answers, it's pretty safe to say that all are people who are known by a double initial plus last name where the initials are the same letter (so AA Milne works for the writer whereas PG Wodehouse wouldn't). There is a single answer (bass player) that is slightly different from this, but close enough that I went ahead and included them.
