Molly Mae
E cannot be letter 5 (no change from CRAZE to CRAZY) T cannot be letter 4 (from MOUTH) E cannot be letter 3 (EVENT) B cannot be letter 1 (BORED) EDIT: Forgot to mention: D cannot be letter 5 (BORED) /EDIT BREED. If BREED-1, R is letter 2. If BREED-0, A must be letter 3. (No change from GRATE and CRAZE where T and Z cannot be letter 4 and E cannot be letter 5) I think that's sound logic...if you can follow it. MM, I'm afraid I will have to poke a hole in your logic balloon yet again... consider: MOUTH-0 BORED-0 EVENT-0 CRAZE-1 CRAZY-1 GRATE-1 BREED-0 1st letter could be "G" and 4th letter could be "Z" and this would be correct

Guest
GRUNT If GRUNT is 0 then A is the 3rd letter GRATE is 1 => GR is eliminated as GRUNT is 0 => T is eliminated as MOUTH is 0 => E is eliminated as CRAZE and CRAZY both have 1 and E & Y cannot both in the last place => leaving A in 3rd place. If GRUNT is 1 then G is the 1st letter and Z is the 4th letter GRUNT is 1 => NT is eliminated as EVENT is 0 => R is eliminated as BREED is 0 => U is eliminated as MOUTH is 0 => leaving G in 1st place. If G is in 1st place, then Z is in 4th place because from GRATE we know RAE are not in right places that leaves C and Z in CRAZE. C cannot be in 1st place as it is already taken G => leaving Z in 4th place.

Guest
CREAM If CREAM = 0, then the second-last letter must be R. In HOARD, the O and D have been eliminated by BORED = 0, and the A is already accounted for, so only the H or the R can be right. In ALARM, the L is not right because PLACK = 1 has the A, so the second correct letter could be the first A, the R or the M. But if the A were right, there would be no letter that could be in HOARD, but not in ALARM that isn't R. So the A can't be. So if CREAM = 0, the M is eliminated, leaving only the R in the second-last place. If CREAM = 1, then the first letter must be H from HOARD and the fifth letter is M because the CR is eliminated by CRAZE, the E is out from BREED and the A is a no-go because of ULNAR and the R would be out from ALARM having the A and the M, leaving only the H in HOARD.
