I believe you only get 10 points (in total) for guessing the word. WombatBreath's thinking was to try and introduce a game that gave more reward for logicking letters. He had introduced a program (and gave access to it to all other players) which eliminated possible words from a list after each guess. To be honest, it knocked all the fun out of the game. I'm glad to see people aren't using it anymore.
