  1. As written above That happened several weeks ago and it is a good preventive measure.

BabaGanoush / Shakeepuddn / plasmid, you may start a new thread in "Comments and Suggestions" to discuss websites where you found riddles first posted on BrainDen and your view on that. I have no problem with that as long as the original source/link is quoted - so BrainDen.com
  3. I have added " III" in the title to be clear and consistent. I have already explained how to name the threads here.

Welcome to the Den, zugzwang. I searched for brothers +sisters +none in the whole forum (not limited to any subforum). And there were several topics locked with the same riddle. Actually, I have put it on this website some 4 years ago, too. Thread locked.

    Off to "New Logic/Math Puzzles".
  6. rookie1ja

    Off to "New Word Riddles".
  7. Welcome to the Den, sieger. Let me direct your attention to rules of this forum (see "Important: READ BEFORE POSTING" above). Especially, the part about doing a quick search before you post old puzzles like this one - it is already part of this site. Actually, it is one of the most repeated puzzles. And giving away the answer after a few guys give the riddle a shot is better as well. jb_riddler, this one is repeated quite often indeed. However, the competition is tough. Sequence puzzle 111221 and Two Doors puzzle with about 20 repetitions Thread locked.
  8. I absolutely agree - the opportunity is here and I encourage discussion on philosophy in sub-forum "Others". It's always been one of my targets to create such atmosphere and I thank everyone positively contributing to it. I compiled my favorites and optimized the page for "Paradoxes" and "Famous Paradoxes". I am glad you liked them. I was thinking about posting a few more classic paradoxes (ancient ones) but some of them were already posted in this forum. Enjoy the Den

    1. off to "Games" 2. this is already played in another thread, continue all games in that thread (just like there is 1 Masterword thread for all rounds of that game) 3. this thread is locked
  11. you are welcome :-)

Nice one. However, it's already posted here. Thread moved to New Optical Illusions and locked.

W00k1e, I advise to follow rules of this forum. See "Important: READ BEFORE POSTING" above. In particular, the following: There are hundreds of riddles titled "What am I". Do you want your riddle to be just 1 of many? Don't you want it to be unique? Stand out from the list of "WAI" riddles? It's also much easier to search for your riddle later when you give it a unique and descriptive title.

Topics should not be started out of pure boredom without added value. And off-topic posts continue. User suspended, thread locked.

SBF_ANGELS, I assume you meant it as in this already posted brain teaser. If not, PM me and I will open this thread.

I like this one, it's one of my favorites . Posted here. Thread locked.
  19. Which bot? Can you provide a link? As written above, bots do not register. Humans do and they run a bot afterwards to send PM spam.

Nice one. It's by by Jeremy L. Hinton (as far as I know) and I have included it a few years ago on a page dedicated to scary optical illusions. I have created 3 other pages long time ago: Optical Illusions Eye Illusions Visual Illusions Thread locked.
  22. Well spotted. Try this. It seems that search result page has is not a permanent link. You can also visit Shakeepuddn's profile and find his topics under "Options" on the left.
  23. you're welcome ... just keep the title consistent ... I added "The Battle for Mount Olympus III - " and limit off-topic posts (eg. in mythical creatures thread) thanks
  24. I don't agree. Number of profile views might be result of several factors: controversial posts, temporary hype, daily visits of friends, vivid social relationships (without many quality posts), old members (less active now), link to profile page in signature etc. I agree that post count ranking is not perfect either. Due to posts including only "lol", smiley, "good riddle", guessing in easier games, participation in story-telling games etc. Good way would be to implement "thumbs up"/"thumbs down" for each post. So that members could rate replies of other members - if they were helpful, insightful etc. And take those points into account when rating members. The new version of IP.Board will come out shortly. Let's wait for the improvements and maybe look for a modification then. Nonetheless, good idea.
  25. No. Post further suggestions in a new thread.
