  1. An underground spring I don't follow: if it eventually makes it to the surface then it will attract animals, if not the line about making the grass strong wouldn't work. The Garden of Eden doesn't have a well as far as I know. I can't really see how a picture album would work. I'll go ahead and post a hint if you want it.
  2. You could make a fairly good case for rain – it can be made to fit most of the clues. I don't think I'd go so far as to call it an alternate answer, though, just because the "well" clue is still left sort of hanging. Worms I believe have hemolymph rather than blood which would make them a valid choice, but don't think they can really be made to fit with the "snow" clue. And a gazebo would attract people. Again, what I have in mind is more metaphorical.
  3. Mistletoe could fit the first stanza if it's hung indoors and too high for the partygoers to reach. But the second stanza I don't think would fit well - tough to drown while you're hanging in a tree, and rather than keeping the grass strong mistletoe is a parasite. It's still kind of early, but I'll just say that this is more metaphorical than where most of the answers have been heading. I'll plan to post a clue if it isn't guessed after being up for 24.

Finding the key: If one is the key, then comprehend this badly If one is succeeded, I'm yours informatively What is the key? Who am I: Clarification is my aim Sometimes I'm to blame For I'm a master's creation To solve your problem is my obligation I have a key for you to be able to convey
  5. I see how that could work with much of the riddle, but don't understand how it might with the lifeblood flowing all around except here, or how the well comes into play. And your earlier answer of someone deceased, or a grave, seems like it might fit with everything except the first two lines (a very different twist on the last line: "Where they fell, in love"). Not what I had in mind though.
  6. Hmm, I rarely if ever consider a mouth to be quiet, but I suppose it might be possible if someone is suddenly and severely smitten (or too busy smooching to be flapping their yap). Not what I had in mind, and I'm having trouble seeing how the first and second stanzas would fit; did you have interpretations in mind, or just fishing? It's still too early for hints. This is one I think people will be able to get.
  7. Good point, they're usually "What am I"s but I hadn't been very liberal with the pronouns here. Try to identify what is being described. Comments on the answers in both posts are added within the spoiler. No solution yet.
  8. 'Fraid not. My custom is to write riddles that seem to be referring to one thing (a distractor named in the title) but are actually about something else. And the title of this one is "I'm not a gardener" (Edit: and it's definitely still too early for any sorts of hints yet)
  9. Snow has fallen to the ground Still my lawn is clear Lifeblood flowing all around Doesn't wander here Spring and Summer, nearly drown Watering the lawn Whether grass is green or brown I will make it strong When the days are hot as hell Shade the sun above Scorching not the quiet well Where they fell in love

I think unreality has tied it all up quite nicely. I agree with everything, but wonder if the denominations are able to override the no gods part? We had been holding off saying what exactly denominations should and shouldn't be allowed to do while we were getting the rest sorted out, but now it seems like a good time to address it. It also reminded me that I haven't really put the karma-esque reciprocity he talked about into any of the parables yet. Gautama Buddha was deep in thought as he walked a road by the fields of Samarkand when a farmer saw him and approached. The farmer came holding another man at knife point and asked Buddha, "You are one of the men of the Phronist council, are you not? I have caught this thief stealing from my fields! How should I punish him in accordance with your faith?" Buddha looked to the thief, "Have you stolen from this man's farm?" "Yes, Buddha, I stole from him. Is this a sin? If so, let your Essence strike me down. I say there is no justice from your Essence. I grew up without my parents and rarely knew the shelter of a house, but what had I done to deserve such a fate while I was just a child? If fairness is not dealt to me then I need not grant it to others. Let your Essence that knows no justice be the one to punish me. It is inept and I fear nothing from it." "Do you expect that the Essence should watch your every move, pay you promptly for every kind act, and punish all who cross you before they leave your sight? With every evil deed you tarnish yourself, and whether repaid immediately or not, you mark yourself for suffering. Good men are not paid for every act they perform, but by developing noble habits and becoming an honorable person they pave the way to happiness and contentment." Buddha turned to the farmer, "Samarkand has laws. Let the authorities punish this thief." The thief taunted Buddha, "See, your Essence is powerless to bring justice! You are a fraud, deceiving your followers." Buddha answered the thief, "The Essence flows through everything, including the authorities. How did you expect it to act?" Buddha then turned to the farmer, "Just as the Essence brings punishment to this man for stealing, so this man was a punishment for you. Do the people of Samarkand cast children to the street? Do people of means give no way for those without to be a useful part of their society? If that is the case, you have just faced your own punishment at the hands of the Essence."

I suspect that Aeron got it. But if not,
  12. Quite close. Since I'm a dumbbell, what more precisely am I?
  13. I vaguely remember seeing an episode with him dressed up as a cop, but don't see how he could fit with the "got in board" clue. As for the more general category, I'm not a toon. Someone as popular as Bugs I might write a riddle about, but most others would require too much esoteric knowledge for me to consider very sporting.
  14. Being stuck inside of one that's not responding to you would give a neat meaning to needing a turn of fate to get out. I'm not sure how it would be bucktoothed, though.
  15. It's been so long since I've read or seen it that I've forgotten whether there are parts that would fit all the clues. I'll just have to say that it's not what I have in mind.
  16. This one also fits a lot of the clues, but I'm not sure how it would fit "I've got in board"
  17. Not sure how it would fit the dumbbell clue, or be bucktoothed That is a pretty good answer that I hadn't thought of. How would it fit with the "card" clue in the 10th line? makes perfect sense..Nice job PG! That does make the toll both answer seem better, but a buck tooth is a single or pair of large protuberant upper front teeth, which wouldn't describe a row of equally sized spikes. Unless maybe I were talking about a bunch of bucktoothed guards. But I'm not.
  18. A pretty good answer, the only big clue I can't really see it fitting with is bucktoothed. And there's a more subtle clue with "tougher jams I've gotten through" just sort of hanging there as if it were meant to refer to something.
  19. Not what I've got in mind, and I'm not sure how that would fit with the "bucktoothed guard" or "I've got in board" clues. Also not what I've got in mind, I'm not sure how this one would fit with "dumbbell" or "bucktoothed". Not what I'm going for either, with the bucktooth and board clues.
  20. Hmm, I can't remember being on one of those contraptions so I'm not sure how well it would fit the riddle. But it's not what I had in mind. Not the law, and that's sort of close to the title's exclusion of "I'm not Monopoly jail".
