SLOPE and SCOPE both retained 1, so the second letter in neither is right. Skate retained 0 so it isn't the s or e. Leaving O and P. If SCAPE retains 0, then o is the third letter, otherwise p is the is the 4th letter.

Oh, I take my statement back entirely. He doesn't even have the mental capacity to mix drinks...

Eugh, can we not do it with highest IQ? We had a topic about that guy once - and he's an idiotic bartending moron*. I really don't care how well he can solve puzzles, he'd be the death of us all. *Moron altogether, not just at an extent of his religiousness, but it contributes. Totally sticking with Brave New World.

I'll be here doing yoga. Anyone that wants some insight, hit me up. Frost/Unreality, I'm confused about the list of questions. Is there, or is there not one? O_o

Chill out home dawhg. *presents permit* Yo Red, *hands a fake ID* Keep your beer to yourself, I have better stuff and refuse to pollute my mind with the yuckiness of ethanol.
  7. Dawh just stated that surgeries often cost $1 million dollars. Well, then, UtF, that means those million dolloar surgeries are being paid for ALL THE TIME ANYWAY. We, as a soceity, haven't suffered from it. Why not just have some taxes go to health care, and extend the benefits for EVERYONE? The percent of those in the middle class outweigh those in poverty(uh? I think? I HOPE), so you won't be getting many more million dollar operations, but you will be getting all around healthier people. If dawh and Zerep's family didn't have people to help them pay (because, honestly, not many people can go insurance free and be all "Here brah, $1 million, take it, Imma go home in my luxury car to mah mansion now."), my best friend would either be dead or in extreme poverty and I would have never met him, and dawh might not be on this forum because he'd be trying to work off that debt or something (well, if it happened to him, not his brother at least.) And damn, all three of you beat me to getting on him for the pond thing. Btw, I didn't misunderstand your "potential" thing. I was using potential as a noun in that sentence, not an adjective. Either you miswrote or misarticulated what you meant. Btw, this guy doesn't have any arms or legs. To you, he's worthless. To the world, he's an inspiration. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ApA4m_uZns&feature=related Case closed. Stfu now. *edit* One more thing. Did you even see my post where I proved morality and religiousness and nil connection? *facepalm*
  8. no, im not superstitious. thats absurd. please stop trying to make ridiculous conneections that aren't there. i believe the way i do because i care about people. you're clearly religious, stop expecting me to be religious just becasue i value human life its not irrational. stfu. no one agrees with you because you're insane. and you just blabber on and fecking on. it's 3 am. i took drugs. i am goin to fecking sleep. did i mention no one agrees with you because your ideas they're insane? brb, may or may not reply tomorrow. take zerep's hint. move your medieval ages ideas to another thread where you might find someone that appreciates them. (didnt finish reading you post btw, LEARN TO BE CONSISE. i am in no way supersiticious. i value human life, nothing more. get over it. good night. maybe.
  9. Your hypothetical situation is meaningless, because NO operations cost that much. I don't even think they have millions. You're trying to create an argument out of nothing. Even if you say it's a trillion dollars, what you are saying is so off topic. The basic health care it costs people an average person during their life.. is like that, maybe $10,000 a lifetime? Not even. I think my medical bills have only totaled up to like maybe.. idk. Nothing, 'cos of insurance, not the point. Okay, imagine you had to pay all your medical bills. I'd estimate like $5,000/lifetime, right? More or less, for certain people. Now, include the expensive surgeries (btw, I don't think plastic surgery or weight less surgery, or that stuff should count, obviously). That probably boosts it to around 10,000/person. With the rich and poor contributing equally, it's doable with no harm done. omfg i am so tired . f*cking xanaxxxxxxxxx<3 i swear it look like an hour to type that. so. tired. [/clor]
  10. I agree. Feel free to still participate in this one, but realize your cold ideas will be overruled in any democracy, because the majority of people actually care about other people. What made you so unemotional, if I may ask?
  11. Oh, and dude, even your potential system fails. I'm sure you'd agree that I have quite a bit of potential in life, right? Nothing's stopping me from finishing uni. and then just chilling the rest of my life off of an inheritance. (I wouldn't, 'cos that's not my style, but I could.) If a child has loads of potential, that doesn't mean they're going to do anything, and even if they have no potential, it doesn't mean they won't become anything. Personal example. My dad.. was a bit of a rebellious teenager. Total genius, on all accounts (and it annoys me to no end ), but he got kicked out of high school his senior year (in Germany, not here). His dad pulled some strings, got him into an awesome university, which he also got kicked out of. (...This is why my mom doesn't want me to be like my dad, haha.) He pretty much did nothing for a few years. Now he's one of the top paid CEOs of Siemens. Potential means nothing.
  12. It's a BABY. You have no way of knowing it won't grow up an be an Einstein!
  13. I wouldn't personally be putting down the million dollars, America as a collective group would be funding it. 300 million translates to 1/300 of a dollar per person. Seems doable to me. I'm pro-choice, btw. A human isn't human until birth, before that it is a potential human and not subject to the same rights as actual humans. It's relationship with the mother is parasitic, and its survival (while in the womb) requires her continuous consent. But there's already an entire topic on that. Again, religion has nothing to do with it. Lemme find that post for you.
  14. You know what you aren't realizing? Aside from new money being created, the wealth of America stays the same. The one million dollars, even if the kid "earns it back" is merely being transferred from tax payers, to the insurance companies, to whatever they decide to buy, to other people, and so forth. It's actually very economically stimulating. It's not like when that money's spent it disappears. We, as a society, still have it, and we just have one more person that benefited from it.
  15. Yes, pay the $1 million dollars. And yes, continuously support the people that are making stupid mistakes. We're only human. They're not bad investments. My sentences are short because I'm so fecking over this. You treat society as a whole as if they're retarded. People aren't purposely going to hurt themselves to leach off of government benefits.
  16. Bro, you can stop with the outrageously long posts. You're not convincing anyone. I don't think anyone actually cares at this point. The only thing that bothers me is that you bothered to say my values must stem from religion. Morality doesn't come from religious texts, and religion isn't my incentive to be nice and try to make people happy. Refer to my topic on Jediism or something or look up one of my various posts (our wifi is being all meh, otherwise I'd grab it myself) explaining how we developed the "human code" so to say before any one wrote done what you would consider "good" rules (Don't kill, steal, etc.) in religious scriptures. They had to exist beforehand, and just because I don't believe in some all powerful flying sky monster doesn't mean I'm going to disregard what the books say entirely. Fiction occasionally agrees with facts, but that doesn't mean that's where they started. I'm so bored of this, honestly. You could justify murder, slavery, forced eugenics, and practically anything else with "Oh, it's better for society!" F.UCK what's better for society, look for what's better for people. This is our only short existence between two infinite terms of nonexistence, and everyone should have the same right to enjoy it. People like you will destroy society, because a dictatorship is not civilized. Btw, what? "When you all said you were liberal and that you valued society, I believed you. But, you're not liberal because you value society more than yourself. You don't really value society. You value having every individual who is born feeling happy." I'm not liberal because I value society more than myself even though I don't value society? What? I'm starting to feel you don't understand politics at all. Libertarians believe in freedom, personal, and community happiness. Society is just the strings that holds these together. I don't want society to collaspse (hence not being anarchist), but happiness should be the byproduct of society, not the price for it. I'm through. That's why we have the vote going. New topic?

Ziggy: *continues doing yoga* Gawd made you say that, bro, enjoy your puppetry. He also makes people call him names. Blasphemy is merely Gawd's self-hatred.
  18. Oh, I burned my leg pretty badly when I wrecked my dirt bike at my cousin's track when I was like 8. It's fine now, and the scar is finally fading. =/ That aside, I've broken three fingers (lol, Eli was there for one of them. My bike hit something in the sidewalk, and it did a front-flip type thing, and Eli turned his bike around to see if I was okay and fell ), both clavicles, my right wrist, my right heel, and my nose. ...Over half of those were at Vans Skatepark between the ages of 8-12. >_>
  19. Nothing happened to me. I was born normal and healthy, to a pretty well off family, with no serious injuries throughout my life other than the occaisonal broken bones. I've finally found the difference between us tearing us apart. You're trying to make the most prosperous society you can while I value human happiness (probably attributed to my nihilism gained through my irreligious-ness, see, everything correlates ) above all else. If you want the best society you can possibly have, you might as well go at it Spartan style, because otherwise you're going to constantly be held back by people you find inferior. The irony? If your idea ever takes off, people smarter than you are going to think about you the same way you regard "the dumb", and what you're just going to end up with is a f**ked up hierarchy, with a supergenius dictator on top. Yeah, maybe you have a well functioning society, but in the process democracy collapses and individualism and egos are destroyed. Classic dystopian novel, I don't see why you can't see it. Read Anthem, 1984, or Brave New World. We're really not trying to create a dystopia (or in your eyes, utopia) here, we're trying to figure out a way to get people to survive with each other, happy with the government, and happy with their lives. If you don't agree, I really don't care anymore, move. You missed my point entirely. I was saying people had the right NOT to be slaves, not that people had the right to enslave other people. NOT BEING ENSLAVED IS A RIGHT. We have a right to freedom, and among these should be freedom to health. I value human prosperity, but not as much as happiness. If masses of people are unhappy, then the system needs to be fixed, hence the objective of this thread. By misunderstanding me, you just disproved your own argument. You just said all humans are pretty much similar. And I know you agree that while there are differences in intellect, unless we start cloning, that difference isn't very significant and will always retain that general bell curve shape. Stop and think for a second. EVERYTHING you own is because you were born into your family. I somehow doubt you had a job through high school, meaning your parents provided everything. Think about how your parents got where they got. Because of their parents. It goes down the line so many generations. That's why you see so many poor black people. Slavery didn't end in the US until 1865. Assuming a generation is like 25 years, that's only 5 generations. People are where they are because of their ancestors. You really need to realize this, I don't know how to put it any clearer. I'm sure you worked hard through school, and the battlefield between whites and blacks is pretty even now, but certain families have had more time to build up money than other families which is why they are able to afford the things they are. Eugh, getting bored of typing. Sure, give everyone a mattress. That can be next on the list. After Health Care, because that's a wee bit more important. I'm on a Mac, btw. Eugh, I'm sick of arguing with you. You're unmovable and selfish. For an all-inclusive health care 1. Izzy 2. 3. Against 1. Use the Force 2. 3.

Ziggy: *Actually*, sound waves are patterns of disturbances caused by the movement of energy traveling through a medium (such as air, water, or any other liquid or solid matter) as they propagate away from the source of the sound. The source is some object that causes a vibration, a person's vocal chords. The vibration disturbs the particles in the surrounding medium; those particles disturb those next to them, and so on. The pattern of the disturbance creates outward movement in a wave pattern, like waves of seawater on the ocean. The wave carries the sound energy through the medium, usually in all directions and less intensely as it moves farther from the source. So unless Gawd causes EVERY vibration in the world, he doesn't create sound waves. To do so means he's using humans as puppets, literally controlling our every move. It means everything is pre-destined to occur how it does, and that God is a major tool. Questions?
  21. Umm. Everyone 21+ after taking an extensive safety class can own a gun? Minors caught with guns off of private property will be arrested. No guns in public. ..Yeah? Idk. BB, paintball, and airsoft guns don't count as guns, but they can still only be used on private property/in shooting ranges. Anyone with a criminal history can't own a gun. You can't take guns to work and stuff. Anyone found hunting without a hunting license will be arrested. ..Yeah... *doesn't like guns but knows if we make guns illegal, stuff will just get worse*
