plainglazed
As promised or as threatened, even I cant tell for sure. Solve the couplets below then a twist will tell you more. Spare me, please, take it easy before you again run out. A possible wartime requirment, to serve the troops no doubt. Terribly annoying maybe but it's best to keep still. Recover all the quicker, with me you surely will. Watch and watched too closely, yet into this you fell. Nothing from the looks of it, danger can this spell. It's best to take stock, e'en the toughest days. Better times ahead, but for now its me that pays. Nose is bent out of joint, so maybe its like these. Frustrated expectations, insult me won't you please. To the showers, to your room, to bed, and then to sleep. On a mission, flying, away but heaven can you reap? 0 Guest
I keep thinking it has to do with being a good little boy doing good deeds. Guesses: restraint, temperance. Also: mandate? the letter Z? (I can imagine Z's floating off and flying away to heaven, lol) Reward? Sometimes a good night's sleep is plenty reward

Sometimes a good night's sleep is plenty reward no it actually doesn't have to do with that. preparation, rite / ritual no, not that either, am afraid. 0 plainglazed
A Sling? Hey Scudo. An excellent guess but not it. Just for clarification, am assuming that is a guess for the second couplet. This riddle/puzzle is the third I've done like this where each couplet is a "mini-riddle" with it's own one word answer. After the six (in this case) are solved there will be some kind of manipulation of those six that then suggests a "final answer". Thanks for guessing and please do come back. 0 plainglazed
ascend, passage, convert, release Hey t_mo, good guesses all, just not the one. Your first had been guessed and I described it as the closest I could think of without being it. Also said the answer though, was not synonymous. Follow? not it. #1...Jeep or rations #4...scam or money #5...broke #6 dove or rest Hey Jkb, your second guess for #1 is correct but not the rest. 0 plainglazed
Forth?, Forthright?, Forthcoming? or Forego? not it but get a sense that you are reading this one correctly as it is a little different than the others.

0 plainglazed
Forecast?, Fourtold?, Foretell?, or Foresight? nope and no four/fore connection. probably should not have said what I said in my last response to you. all too often that tends to confuse more than help. was purely speculating on how you were "reading" the couplet in a potentially helpful way. there, did it again...oh, well. the night....??? or fortnight....??? good thinking but not those either. 0 plainglazed
Caste? Get the four(ish) connection but not the answer to the riddle. Anyway, guess that tells you it's not the word we're after.
0 Guest
progress, but i don't think that's right....I have a feeling it might have something to do with the seasons? starting w/ spring - shower; summer - room(doing something fun/games); Fall - going to bed(double meaning(also getting ready for winter)); Winter - sleep - pretty self-explanatory
