I wish I was still kind of waking up! Not really on the right track. Can't say too much without either giving it away or confusing you. Sorry.

a car salesman

Yah, well I usually do my waking up at noon and now I have to get back to waking up early before school starts. Not fun.

Hey at least you get summers off, right? Not that either, sorry.

riddles?

Good morning MrsP. Had to get this guess out of the way so I can get serious here.

Good Morning??? I'm pretty sure you are getting into the evening now :) Not that, sorry. Time to get serious, I suppose.

Coup d'etat?

Here's a riddle, with your first line, in my style:

Tricky, tricky here am I

Vessel tired, by and by

Think, stare, toss, expire

Runnin' in fog, who hasn't ire?

Now here I break my method

Let me show you where I'm headed

Indirect clues, these first four lines

Don't heed details, just read between lines

If still you can't guess what I be

I am a state that you might be

I am a thief, so see ya!

In some, end with mania

I'll post it in a new topic

Is your guess in another language  I am not sure what it is, so no - it's not right. Sorry. And I will take a look at yours once it's posted!

Haha. It's a french term, basically means to dethrone somebody, hostile political takeover, something like that. I don't know any french though, it's just one of those phrases.

Hm... is this a two parter?

First verse is making me think hoodwink, and second verse boredom.

Oh!

First: Con

Second: Fiddle (like fiddling around, or idle)

Together: Confident!

Doubt that's it, but interesting no?

Yes that is interesting. Sorry that it's not right though. Keep 'em coming!

I'll try to think outside the box

With two-part answers for this rhyme

The first is wiley as a fox

The second: while away the time

(For the last line, rhymes with mile

The first: "although" is subbed with "while"....

As in "Even though it's not ideal, it will work in a pinch" could be rephrased "While it's not ideal, it will work in a pinch")

Soooo sooo close, I would have given it to you if tiger had not come in and got exactly what I was going for. You got what I was going for with the second part exactly, but a little off on the first. But perhaps I am being too picky. Good job to you! Lets call it a double win, you both got it.

Ooh, think I have it!

wile / while

It took me a 'while' to remember that there is a present tense - I kept thinking 'whiled away the time', but 'wild' didn't really fit the first one!

Great job, that is exactly what I am going for! Good job to you and plasmid!!

Wile/While
