plainglazed
Two words together describe this to tame In a strange way my meaning is just the same Whether read word by word Although it sounds quite absurd All allude to my circuitous fame. You don't want to meet me accidentally Then draw near, be alert most mentally Can go this way or that Depends where you're at So surely you can approximate my identity. I can only make this work with the first lines of each stanza.

0 hugemonkey
Nothing? Means tame as in boring and said individually "no thing" means the same. Wouldn't want to meet nothing accidentally (if you were expecting something) Thinking of nothing could be meditation that could make you more alert? Wouldn't want to meet nothing accidentally (if you were expecting something) Thinking of nothing could be meditation that could make you more alert? Can assure you my answer is (a) something and fits the riddle more easily. Need to address that circuitous bit. Less so the "tame" meaning. Well ahoy thar matey, you are not lost and not only can you get this one, you did. Well done! Two words together describe this to tame In a strange way my meaning is just the same -- roundabout can mean in a non-straightforward or strange way Whether read word by word Although it sounds quite absurd All allude to my circuitous fame. -- round, about, and roundabout all can mean circle You don't want to meet me accidentally Then draw near, be alert most mentally -- pay attention so as not to have a car accident in a roundabout Can go this way or that Depends where you're at -- drive on the left or right side of the road depending on what country you are in So surely you can approximate my identity. 0 Guest
Woohoo! It's only fitting that I'd get it right yesterday when I had had a conversation with my supervisor about how they call them rotaries back east and here in the west we call them roundabouts (referring to on the road.) Nice riddle!
