I'm not Monopoly jail

Question

I'm a dumbbell you can't lift

So you won't get the best of me

You're my captive, catch my drift?

A bucktoothed guard, I'll hold your key

I've got in board, but there's no doubt

I've certainly not been subdued

Fighting me won't get you out

'cause tougher jams I've gotten through

What you need's a turn of fate

Or card: get out of jail free

If you want to cross my gate

And once again the blue sky see

Are you a cartoon character, like Bugs Bunny?

Being stuck inside of one that's not responding to you would give a neat meaning to needing a turn of fate to get out. I'm not sure how it would be bucktoothed, though.

yeah, was pushing that part, hoping just those two big doors but they'd be more gap than buck toothed. still churning, maybe will get lucky?

I vaguely remember seeing an episode with him dressed up as a cop, but don't see how he could fit with the "got in board" clue.

As for the more general category, I'm not a toon. Someone as popular as Bugs I might write a riddle about, but most others would require too much esoteric knowledge for me to consider very sporting.

a door knob
Aeron got this one:
The dumbbell with bucktooth (latch that catches in the doorjamb alluded to in the eighth line) that has gotten bored (got in board) and can be turned or carded to open.

Good riddle! I'm sorry I came in too late to guess.
