0 Guest
Rumcake! No, Wook1e, butYou'll get it. Wikipedia is the answer to this one, it'll tell you all about it. This is the second imprint of this riddle; the moderator deleted the original for lack of descriptive title. This will be my last one. If I reincarnate, it'll be in some similar gastronomic genre. Good luck!

0 Guest
Opus Metricum Very good guess, Shakee P. But . . .you have the wrong Jock. What is interesting to me is (and I suppose you folks know this), some wonder child called "Smilin" is pilfering these riddles for fun and profit, and posting them to "Yahoo Questions" in the "Joke and Riddles" section. This, to earn "points", with what Yahooers do I don't know. Google any of the lines in this riddle, and you'll find her page (and the spoiler) immediately. This particular riddle was xeroxed there within an hour of the original post of it here (my original was deleted by the mod for non-descriptive title, so, per his request, I re-titled it and posted it again (susbsequent to the piracy). And not less quickly did another Yahoo Point Hunter nail it. Interesting . . . (Shakee, she's pilfered a number of your good ones.) Guess on broadband, anything goes. Gud luk! 0 Shakeepuddn
Thanks for the info. Considering most of mine have an international copyright, not everything goes.
0 plasmid
Since Shakee has his hiney covered, as far as I can tell the only potential loss from such activity would be to BrainDen if decreased net traffic translates to decreased ad revenue. If that were the case, the best course of action would be for us to post replies on yahoo informing the readers where the original material came from. Yahoo can be BrainDen's free advertising Yahoo points apparently don't do anything aside from give you permission to post, rate, etc more frequently on yahoo (see http://answers.yahoo.com/info/scoring_system). Seeing as how their forum sucks donkey honkers compared to BrainDen, there seems to be no profit being made. I would recommend FIRST allowing Shakee or Rookie to take whatever action protects their financial interests. If don't see a need to act, then I suppose you could post replies on yahoo with links to the original BrainDen post if you are offended. I however believe that the utterly pointless waste of time incurred by reposting our stuff on yahoo is punishment in and of itself. I enjoy cosmic retribution. I have no idea why I just put that in a spoiler, so don't ask. In a simple way, I find it a little flattering that my stuff is worthy of duplicating. And certainly there's nothing financial involved in that silliness. I just found it intereing how fast stuff flies around the web. Writing them, solving them, it's about fun, nothing else for me.
0 Shakeepuddn
Yeah, I really don't care too much about it, so long as mine don't come out in print before I put them out myself (looks more like the way of vanity publishing every week LOL!). 0 rookie1ja
BabaGanoush / Shakeepuddn / plasmid, you may start a new thread in "Comments and Suggestions" to discuss websites where you found riddles first posted on BrainDen and your view on that. I have no problem with that as long as the original source/link is quoted - so BrainDen.com
