(1) Before we met, I was every color shown in light, Now that you're gone, I'm just black and white. But you will be the one who sees, If they can discover our identities. Both of these things make me think of eyes and eyesight. In (1), with light we can see every color of the rainbow, but in reduced light, the cones in our eyes stop working and we see everything in black and white via the rods. Then, in the last stanza, the bolded part describes the spurner, and also seems to point to eyes. Of course, I could be reading things into it that aren't there.
