0 Brandonb
Is that a riddle? Seems like a straight forward question... I assume about the original story where the Axeman saves LRRH and the grandmother? Keep yourself armed so you can defend yourself.
0 onetruth
Don't let your children hike through the woods alone and tell them not to talk to strange wolves that strike up a conversation.

0 akaslickster
Don't try to be someone you're not because you'll get caught and be in trouble. Referring to the wolf in the grandmothers bed.
0 itachi-san
I think: the wolf is a metaphor for a man who appears charming but is really some horrible guy preying on pretty young girls, stealing their virginity and innocence. So the moral is for young girls to be cautious of guys who appear "too good to be true" or "wolves in sheep's clothing" if you will.

0 Guest
straight from the most trusted source on the web, wikipedia "The tale makes the clearest contrast between the safe world of the village and the dangers of the forest, conventional antitheses that are essentially medieval, though no versions are as old as that. It also seems to be a strong morality tale, teaching children not to "wander off the path"."
0 Guest
The only thing I get is that younger flesh tastes better. The wolf was waiting for red riding hood because she was young and succulent., Clearly grandma wasn't a very tasty meal or else he would have quit with her. Obviously the moral of the story is to always be prepared with barbecue sauce. Grandma would have tasted better and the wolf wouldn't have stayed and gotten killed by a homicidal axeman.
