Riddle of the Perspicacious

Guest

Question

I decided to post two of my older riddles as I'm going to bed, and want to ensure that at least for a while people are entertained.

I am audacious, and super capacious, foreign and local I reign.

Too efficacious, and a little flirtatious, and always one of a kind.

Very vivacious, and sometimes voracious, can you tell me, what comes to mind?

My body tenacious, and often sebaceous, I beg you, my name can you find?

Could you be the ostentatious, and yet gracious, St. Ignatious?

While Ignatious true, is quite loquacious, the guess was wrong in the end.

Though the guess was fallacious, here's a hint for the predacious - A liquid is my friend.

Though the guess was fallacious, here's a hint for the predacious - A liquid is my friend.

The hint may be too nugacious. I must be far from warm but a bit glacious.

Perhaps there is not a connection with -acious, -atious, and -eceous.

It's virtually vexatious.

Drop your worries, and be merry. Here's some help that you may carry.

There is no connection to the -acious; no, if any it must be a berry.

I feel with that, I gave away the word, however I have had my fun.

Time to dig this out the dirt, now solve my riddle, enlightened one.

Dagnabbit! Dej Mar of course. That is the second misspelled name in less than 24 hours.

Goodness grief, I might as well just hammer the keys in a random order..

Yet, this answer is derived from your last hint.

A berry that is one-of-a-kind sounds as if does not grow in bunches or clusters, but then if it didn't it would likely not be a berry. Though it itself is not a berry, the fruit of the potato is one. The potato is something one would dig out of the dirt, and it reigns foreign and locally. The potato often takes on a shape that one might consider unique, so perhaps it may be viewed as one-of-a-kind.

Again, there are grapes. Due to the wide variety and the unique signature of wines produced from them, perhaps the fruit of the vine can be considered one-of-a-kind. In my opinion, the grape is definitely something that can be considered to reign foreign and local.

With water as a hint, could it be the watermelon? Due to its size it is more often thought of singly and hence perhaps as one-of-a-kind. I do not know if it would be considered to reign foreign and locally, though.

Ahh, I am still vexed.

You, my friend, you are not dumb,

However, one more time you're wrong.

See you misunderstood my helpful lines,

No melons, potatoes, no fruits on vines.

Like Ignatius fit veracious,

The answer isn't so vexatious.

Oh, is a rhyme not mysterious?

See, are you now delirious?

Thee should not worry 'bout the berry,

It'll be okay, but be wary,

What rhymes with b-.. Au contraire,

If I told you more, it'd be unfair.

As promised, I will not release the answer for the next while, until it - in worst case scenario - is given up on :)

I will continue to ponder the riddle, but I am not one who solves riddles easily (unless they are obviously easy).

Oh this one is so much easier than you'd think.

The word you're looking for can be found in a 3rd-graders vocabulary.

Lol the whole set up of this riddle is tripping me up. Here are complete guesses that probably don't make sense.

Spacious? gracious?

So I'm a "dear" now?

42? Chuck Norris?

42 might be the answer for Everything, but I don't think it is the intended answer. I also think your optional answer, Chuck Norris, fits the clues

, but

doubt it is the answer as well.

I liked your guesses. :P

a lion? certainly voracious and king of the jungle might work with the reign far and wide bit. somewhat wise/maybe more shrewd to go with the title. but some of the other hints...

EDIT: throwing in another doubtful guess to clear my head - cruise ship???

will get there. please dont give up on us yet.
