are the compound words spelled the exact way of the two combined put together?

EX: could "treason" be an answer for the compound words "tree" and "son"

Good question. Yes, the compound words are spelled exactly like words that the clue provides. No puns or other wordplay type clues on this one.

Of course the words are usually not the same meanings that the compound word answer might imply.

Also, the words in the clue can correspond to words that, when put together, will make the answer but individually do not correspond to the exact words that answer implies.

For example: dadpensicker - could be dad/pen/sicker or pa/ink/iller = painkiller.

Hope that this is helpful. :)

...And I see that hm already answered you, as well, sorry! :P

dimwit?

Nope.

I know it's not a compound word, but I can't help but try: incense burner?

I like your logic but, that's not it.

daredevil?

Yep, that's it.

Uproar?

Handbag?

Sorry, Wilson, plainglazed already got

Not what I was thinking for #3 either.

Solid logic all around but I think that there are other answers that you will find to fit better. Your answers could be more bonus points.;)

Hammock?

That does fit, but I don't think the answer is a compound word.
