when first think of vintage I think of port (just because, okay?) but as a second word? gonna take a stab with the not so old LBV (late-bottled vintage?).

or

reserve? or premier cru?

EDIT: added second spoiler

Moet & Chandon Champagne

Nope.

A good portion of the riddle is *attempting* to point towards the first word.

A HARRY POTTER MOVIE

which are produced by Universal Studios (their logo of a rotating globe expl. "Celestial Marketing" or for us (apprev.) quite famed.

The terms I highlighted could readily relate to one.Celestial marketing, success unexplained

Devastating to others, but for us quite famed

Perhaps a Sign of the times, mayhap simply fate

Superior quality, with what I just ate (could refer to a potion)?

In a sudden flash of inspiration, I came up with this one. (if nothing else, it's original!)

Something to do with the Big Bang Theory?

which the scientific community has been "selling"?

Which they supposedly know by measuring "light years" (I'm thinking of the title "An Amazing Year")

Devastating to others (those who alway believed in the Theory of Creation? but brought fame to the astronomers.

A Sign of the times, (this could by irony)

Superior qualty (speed of light, which would be the top rate of speed)

with what I just ate (or consumed) meaning you have accepted it

Well, you said it was complicated...

"suceess unexplained" another bit of irony here, since most of us who want proof of anything do't know or understand enough about astronomy to accept this as truth, & we are "buying" the "Big Bang" theory on faith as much as people who beliieve in the Bibical version of creation.

Left something out & couldn't edit it, so I'm adding this
