Try separating the lines as follows: I blast for 3 beats, then the volume turns down The verse runs on while I lay down The speakers blare with differing power For a whole 3 verses, then grow out and flower The music changed a lot of times To adapt to the modern signs Then it powers up again And finally sets into place

0 Guest
A debate of some kind? Possibly like a Congressional Debate? No Although the riddle is based off the non-tangable part of the answer, the actual answer is tangable. 0 Guest
Bringing this riddle back to the top of the word riddles, because I can't think of another one at the moment. Perhaps you guys can solve it this time around after taking a 5 month break. (BTW, I will not be adding the next couple of lines at all, b/c I've lost the original document I saved this puzzle in, and it would have made this too easy anyway)

0 Guest
this may have been said before, but spring? a presidential term? The second guess was, in a very specific way, one of the closest. However, you're still a few trains over from being on the right track. And I'm going to say this right out so I can narrow down the guesses: IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AN ALARM OF ANY KIND

0 Guest
This one is taking forever, we might as well make it a bit easier! I blast for 3 beats, then the volume turns down The verse runs on while I lay down The speakers blare with differing power For a whole 3 verses, then grow out and flower The music changed 27 times To adapt to the modern signs Only once a verse went in And another sent in to bring it out again Then judging powers the song up And finally it sets into place Edited April 27, 2010 by harvey45

0 Guest
U.S. Constitution Ding! We have a winner! The US constitution consists of: 0. Preamble 1. Legislative Powers 2. Executive Powers 3. Judicial Powers 4. States' Powers 5. Amendments 6. Federal Powers 7. Ratification As for the riddle: I blast for 3 beats, then the volume turns down --- WE THE PEOPLE of the united states... The verse runs on while I lay down --- rest of preamble lays down the basics The speakers blare with differing power --- leg/ex/jud powers For a whole 3 verses, then grow out and flower --- grows into states' powers The music changed 27 times --- 27 amendments To adapt to the modern signs Only once a verse went in --- 18th amendment (prohibition) And another sent in to bring it out again --- 21st amendment (repeal of 18th) Then judging powers the song up --- Federal Powers And finally it sets into place --- ratification Unfortunately, I can't mark this one as solved b/c it's been too long. But it has been solved!

This is an easy puzzle I just came up with:
I blast for 3 beats, then the volume turns down
The verse runs on while I lay down
The speakers blare with differing power
For a whole 3 verses, then grow out and flower
The music changed a lot of times
To adapt to the modern signs
There are a couple other verses that will only be posted if you guys seriously need a hint, which I highly doubt.
