i might be wrong bcoz the 2nd part of the question doesnt make much change in the probabilities of 1st part, even though the condition is quite effective.

1 thing, it may not be a good question but, why u calling the woman as a widow? i mean her husband also died but referring her as a widow doesnt seem appropriate.

eva and amanda are against, id amanda is truthful then melinda is girlfriend, and venessa is sister and eva is truthful but both amanda and eva cant be truthful. hence amanda is a liar and melinda is not the girlfriend and hence eva is tuthful but venessa tries to tell her a liar, hence venessa is also a liar and makes melinda truthful. hence venessa is not the sister, as per melinda and hence amanda is the sister

The only thing I can think of related to weight/gravity would be:
G forces. If you were to swing the bag violently it would feel as though the weight inside is heavier than it actually is.

Thank you to all of you i.e.Common Zenz , Current, thoughtfulfellow, tonyd and spamwolf. All your answers are right. And now the funny thing, after checking your answers and method (which was quite different from mine), i decided to post my solution and it was while typing when i realized That I MADE ONE OF THE MOST SILLIEST MISTAKES bcoz of which the answer which shud have been = 37/72 = 111/216 , turned out to be 135/216. Similar sort of error was in the 2nd part. However i am glad that you all participated. Will post some problems, if i come across some and hopefully not mess up the answers
