His boss's Mother-in-law was on the train
no matter what the real answer is, for me urs is correct ;D
-
So, this is my first riddle. Here goes nothing.
There is a man driving a train filled with people. They are all real people, and it is not a cargo train.
While he is driving, the man notices a bridge coming up. He realizes that it is a really old bridge and will not be able to hold the weight of the train. He starts trying to slow down, but to no avail. He is already on the bridge. As the ridge starts to creak, the driver tries on last thing: he reverses the train. He goes backwards far enough that the train is off the bridge. A second after he gets off the bridge, the bridge collapses.
The next day, the man goes to work. Just as he is about to get into a train, his boss comes up to him and says: "Good job saving those people. Here is a bonus. You are fired!"
Why was the driver fired?
may be bcoz
some other train also had to go thru that bridge, and may have fallen since the bridge collapsed. however i think i m wrong

if you will add 1/3 of 6 and 2/3 of 11 then what you will get
Think logically
i think it shud be 28/3, however after seeing kluemaster's solution i think
1/3 of SIX =S
2/3 of ELEVEN= EVEN
So we have s+even= seven.
this is i guess what kluemaster (the champ) is thinking, but it is arguable, isnt it?

hahahaha good one

If you don't have siblings, you might not get this one.
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds.
After explaining the commandment to "honor thy father and thy mother," she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"
Without missing a beat one little boy answered, "Thou shall not kill."
:D :D very true

my junior told me this joke and i decided to share
a traveller was lost and a head monk of a temple invited him to stay for the night
but as the traveller lay in the guest room at night, he heard strange sounds coming from the other rooms
so in the morning, the traveller asked the head monk what was the noise was
but the head monk just chuckled and said
'i can't tell you, you are not a monk"
so the traveller left the temple curious, and found his way back home
months passed, but the traveller cannot keep his mind off the secret that head monk hid from him
so he left his current job and went to become a monk in the same temple
after he shaved his hair, he went to confront the head monk,
but the head monk shook his head and said
"you are still inexperienced, you must study the ways of a monk for 7 years, so i still can't tell you"
all pumped up, the traveller became a traveller no more, but a monk
he studied hard for the next 7 years, until he became a high ranking monk
so he went to confront the head monk again, but then the head monk was old and on the verge of death
when the traveller sat next to the head monk's bed and begged him to tell him the secret before he die.
but before the head monk could open his lips, the head monk passed away.
so in the end the traveller never get to hear the secret
but do you want to know the monk's secret?
i'm sorry, but you are not a monk so i can't tell you. XD
pls do not be angry with me.....^.^
Hahaahhaaahhaah it dint even take a second to see he spoiler to know the secret

Which of the two sums would you ESTIMATE to be the largest?
987654321 ~ 123456789
87654321 ~ 12345678
7654321 ~ 1234567
654321 ~ 123456
54321 ~ 12345
4321 ~ 1234
321 ~ 123
21 ~ 12
1 ~ 1
The one on the left, or on the right?
left one, no doubts, however you should ask which one is larger not largest

since answer is 5 digits, so abcde ranges from 10000 to 24999. now the answer is edcba, hence a has to be an even no.(since we r multiplying with 4), so a=2, for a=2, e=3 or 8, but edcba>40000, hence e>=4, hence e=8,
now edcba is 80000 something, so abcde is from 20000 to 22499, so b=1 or 2, now e*4 gives a carry of 3, so we will have d as an odd no., so b=1, continuing this way we get ABCDE=21978

So we all think we know the answer to 1+1, 2. But think about this. Let's say we take a random twig, and break it into two. 1'/.2=1/2. But actally, we get 2 twigs. now, if we put the two twigs together, 1+1=2, right? wrong. If we put the twigs together at the exact place where we broke then, we will only have 1 twig. now, think about it. virtually, 1+1=2, but really 1+1=1. I guess it depends on how you look at it and how you add. if we added 2 oranges together, we still have 2 oranges, unless we find a way to merge the 2 together. Probably this is why Einstein said that he is a poor math mathematician, this answer.
thats one way of looking into thing, however a twig brogen in 2 pieces aint 2 twigs, as on comparing with original, they r just 1/2

if volume is same, then water is the answer
What substance weighs more in its liquid form than in its solid form?
-
Don't use pen or paper, just your brain.
Take 100 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Now add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10.
What is the total?
[spoiler=cant figure out the trick ]3200, which i know isnt right
