ROW so that the max time diff between players is about 4 hours for both teams (little higher for ROW). Edit: 4 hours is still a lot, so I think we could keep the existing teams and manage. How about doing things the slashdot way? Ad supported usage is free and people who dislike the ads can subscribe to eliminate ads? That sounds very capitalistic, but seeing as we have a few members willing to tolerate ads and a few who are willing to subscribe, it might be a strong solution. I do not like the idea of giving paying subscribers more authority as then it ends up being a case of economic inequality which I am sure rookie does not want to perpetrate on this forum My $0.02 Cheers! -- Vig

Hmmm... this is one of the biggest drawbacks about any game of mafia...Someone dies early and there's little they can do about it... Of course, I'm sure you realize that. It is not cool to not play because this happened to you... We all were aware that it could happen when we signed up...

Good job innocents! I just woke up and then it was all over Thanks unreality for a very entertaining game. Your posts were detailed , full of hints and very creative... Also appreciate your taking the time to moderate the whole game... Well played everyone! I guess perhaps the inspector was a bit powerful, but then again... we didn't see the mafias (GC,BB and me) complain about that the last time - so maybe it has something to do with the hopelessness that set in for the mafia when it was 1 to 10 ... Just kidding!!! Great game everyone (except the lame-O's who left in the middle of the game) Edit: 200th post!!

A few things: 1) Acting the same way in all mafia games just leads people to suspect you (and kill you off for no reason) 2) You have been indirectly claiming to be innocent through your posts while reluctant to say it explicitly (because of a lie detector). If you REALLY wanted to be a shady, you wouldn't pretend like an innocent. 3) To be honest, harder puzzles are more fun to solve. But that does not mean that no one says anything of value. If you want a really hard puzzle, let's all decide to keep quiet and you can figure out our roles - is that hard enough for you?. You give people too little credit for deciding if and whether it is time to come out. I wouldn't be too far off the mark if I said that my 'noobish' behaviour and calculated decision to come out as the inspector has been a success for the innocents. Sorry if this post seems a little offensive, but I resent your subtle implications of superiority (calling people newbies and telling them how they should play the game and how everyone plays the game badly by having tells and why you find the game boring because people decided to play the game differently). Well if there are n players who are all equally likely to be baddies, I would vote for the most dangerous player. In thiscase, that is Itachi and he isn't defending himself the least bit. My vote is for him if only to coerce him not to hold his cards so close to his chest. Itachi, we do not want you to reveal your role. We just want you to make a statement that you are innocent which you refuse to make citing that you do not want to reveal your role. I have a feeling you're deliberately misunderstanding what we are saying Cheers! -- Vig

I'm gonna wait on LIS's analysis of statements. I would also like unreality to clarify if Defender's role is revealed even if the Defender is killed at night... *goes over to Mafia 2 to see if Nayana's role was exposed* edit: Found out that the defender is indeed revealed to be a defender even if killed at night... MY suspicions lie with Itachi, but Brandonb's bloodthirsty behaviour is also very curious...

I do not trust Brandon. On the same note though, I do not trust Itachi either. Itachi is almost trying too hard to avoid saying "I am innocent" in spite of the fact that this is what he wants us to believe. Brandon has made a lie detectable statement. How about you follow suit and we leave it to LIS to pick which one of you to lie detect. Cheers!

I would suggest we hold off on on the lie detection until we the ration worsens. We also have the spy and the detective doing their thing in the meantime. LIS's judgment is probably better though since he has been thinking about the lie detection angle more than we have.

I called you out first and I got everyone to vote for you and I am the one who is MOST outspoken in your lynching. If GC is bomb, I request unreality that I blow up with him since I instigated this revolution against you. Mr. GC I was also accusing you of being suspect when you refused to vote for pw0nzd. All this put together, I think it is pretty clear that I've had the most negative things to say about you. The rest of the innocents ought to ignore GC for now (you do not have to defend yourselves or come close to revealing your roles). Enough people rightly trust me and GC is trying to extract some info while he's going down. I recommend the spy not waste a check on you. Then there is the small matter of us not having enough manpower to protect me, the spy and the detective. It is nice to see GC trying to flush them out give that he's been exposed, but hopefully the spy and detective won't waste their abilities. Assume I am not the inspector... No one has voted for me so far. If someone else had been the inspector, wouldn't they have voted against me? And then, wouldn't you, supposedly the bomb have followed him and tried to get my lynched since I would be a confirmed baddie? Cheers! -- Vig

While I am alive (Thanks Sphinx! hope the puzzle is hard!)...I would like to support the theory that Brandon is a QA. That is the only possible rationale for asking to be killed by the Vigilante. Especially since he mentioned that Nayana was the defender. If the defender is dead, why would the squeaker be worried about revealing the defenders identity? If I am not alive and cannot get a mafia tomorrow, I would back LIS's theory that Brandon is QA. Cheers! -- Vig

Well... If he was going to die anyway and the whole world was gonna know about it, he could (and should) have come out with his identity and saved innocents for another night (or save himself tonight and save someone else the next night)... Instead he started throwing random accusations and made himself look pretty guilty... *sigh* Anyway, I need the BG (if alive) to save me tonight as the doctor cannot save the same person 2 nights in a row.
