And how? Jerry's still a goodie, regardless of his role. Heck, he could be a vanilla and we would still try to save him, if only because it meant we would be in the game for one more day. Your play here is reminding me of your play in the other TMM we played together, when you were a baddie. You try to push for deaths, even when they're not necessary. You basically ignore all suspicions on you, or throw out a really generic defense, while confusing the rest of us into thinking that someone else is a baddy. You're on my radar now, sakura.

maybe with saves, yes, but not with blocks and other things. in the OOA, saves could be more important than blocks, or blocks could be more important than saves. Similarly, kills, spies, etc, could be more important than blocks, redirects, etc., or vice versa. ANd give your mafia some time. Coup's been going on for what, a couple of moths now? It's only been a few days since you posted the thread. People will sign up, you just have to be patient.

Fine, I accept that. But in order to play efficiently in future mafias, you're gonna have to accept that you're gonna have to read through a lot of stuff to find info on people. For example, if you wanna know my hint, you're gonna have to read thorugh 24 pages of stuff to find my hint(s). And besides, the first WIFOM reference was on page 5, not by Cat. When we were discussing it, why didn't you read it? Because I do believe that there was a full two or three pages worth of talk on WIFOM. As to who will be targeted, I think that the RID will definitely target either you, cat, or tole to find your role. I think Quacker should definitely day spy eother tole, cat, or you tomorrow. Baddies are gonna do what they always do: kill a goodie. I think they'll go for either plasmid, cuz he's just too good, me, cuz I have some experience. I think you're safe, though, because you're either a baddy yourself, or because you're causing a lot of suspicion as to who's who and essentially protecting the baddies. Unless by some crazy chance, tole really is a baddy and you somehow totally called it. In that case, she'll probably NK you to get rid of the suspicion against her. But now that I've said that, she may try some kind of WIFOM by not NK-ing you and trying to get us to believe that she's a goodie, and therefore didn't kill you because you were posing no threat to her. Other than that, I really dunno.

So then the OOA would be block>save>kill, because a block prevents a save, and a save prevents a kill. Regardless of what should be "common sense", some actions override others, and that's what forms the OOA. So even though you're saying there's no OOA, there is a subconscious [sp?] OOA that you follow. If you want to find this OOA, just ask yourself some questions like: If A happened, but B would interfere with A, would A or B happen? If A happens to B, and B happens to C, and C happens to prevent A, what would happen? Questions like that help you find the OOA. And I think the basic template is somewhere along the lines of [and correct me if I'm wrong]: RID Kill>Redirect>Block>Save>Kill>Spy. And other actions are put in based on how important you think they are.

*sigh* Fine. I'll do it , even though I'm neck deep in homework as it is since you're obviously not willing to read through five simple pages of posts. And just FYI, if you're not willing to do that, how have you read through the crapload of stuff that's been posted to date? This is easily the longest TMM I've seen. You could easily rival curr3nt in how long you guys make the mafia threads. This is my fave defintion of WIFOM in the year or so I've been playing mafia. It's the easiest to understand, and makes the most sense. I also like the book that the movie was based off of, so that doesn't hurt either. BTW: This was on page 7. It wasn't that hard to find.

From what I gather, dead people's roles are revealed, and everything goes through. I think this is more of an each-person-for-themselves type mafia. Also, Sakura, regarding the whole "No OOA" thing, what happens if A kills B, but C saves B? Would B be killed or saved? This my main question for now, but I agree with Molly. There are plenty of scenarios where OOA is required. Like, if A kills B, but C saves B, and D kills C, and B kills D? What would happen then? There has to be a basic OOA, even if it's just Kills>Saves or Saves>Kills or something. And yeah, I'm really busy right now [i'm actually not even supposed to be on BD; I'm taking notes for Social Studies due tomorrow...] and I've been busy the past few days, but I'm trying to slow down a bit, so I'll hopefully get this in my sig in a couple of days. Also, MoMa and Klue: Let's give this a chance, yeah? I haven't played any mafias different from the BD style, so I'm eager to try this. And if you guys are worried because this isn't familiar, it'll make the most sense if you actually do it, right? Besides, I think we got off on the wrong foot with Sakura, and I, for one, am willing to give her another chance. So what say you put your names on the roster and try this out? [Wow.... I sound like I'm some grade school counselor or something....]

I'll reread allth is crap tomorrow when my brain is not muddled because of the notes I'm taking on my SS chapter. [screw you, history! Okay, when I got on last, I wasn't able to actively figure out what the heck was going on. Does anubody mind giving me a short synopsis of who accused who, who claimed who, who counterclaimed who, etc.? Also, kris, I know it's probably a bit too late, but can you push the NP back half an hour? If at all possible? I would greatly appreciate it if you could. Also, I won't be available for about 19 hours or so after this, so yeah, don't try and use my lack of convo to target me. Hopefully, more people than just plas and Tra know who I am. And Sak, [this is the only post I told myself to reply to] WIFOM is explained within the first 5 pages of the thread. Go find it. Cuz if you don't learn WIFOM early on in the game that is mafia, you will perish in the rounds to come.

Well, cat's been pretty quiet, so we use lynch pressure to get her to talk. And nobody wants to be implicated as a baddy, so yeah, plas is gonna add some kind of defense. And I think someone actually accused him first, right? Or is the vision of a big juicy treat playing tricks on my mind? And anyhoo, from what I can tell, plas is a very jump-the-gun type of a person, so if there's any chance of him being accused, he's gonna defend it. It's like the preemptive arguments that we use in debate. In the negative's last case, they address every possible issue the affirmative might raise in their last case so that the judges won't immediately just count it as fact. [Yeah, I'm in debate this year. I'm probably gonna use a lot of debate analogies in mafia...] The treat is a bone, BTW. Another hint, for those who didn't catch my first one. Also, I say we try for a tie D1, so tom, no vote manip-ing, please? Below is another hint. Not that hard to figure out. And tyke, blocking me hindes the goodie movement, so no more blocking, son.

Yeah, the strategy thing usually starts happening aorund N2, so no worries. ANd in this case, you'll just have to trust me when I say I'm not a baddie. And I've hinted already. And there are no counterclaims. Just something to chew on for a bit.... Cuckoo, I may need that save...

*reads post* *shakes head* You know what, plasmid? I don't even know.... I think maybe I was high off of chocolate or something, and that must have made perfect sense then...... But it doesn't now....... Also, YAY FOR WIFOM!!!!!! Lawlz. WIFOM can get pretty confusing, though. I just hope that people don't use too much here. Also, G, I think that if we wait until after the NP, we'll have A LOT more players start to post. Especially once we start randomly accusing people. [Again, kris, I challenge you! What defense do you have?] And Tra, night phases are usually where strategy is worked out. Like plasmid said, there's a lot of WIFOM involved, so the goal is to find the plan where no amount of WIFOM could mess it up. Granted, it's N1, so there's not gonna be a lot of that happening, but like I said in an earlier post, this is also where the false accusations start. So accuse away! [plasmid, I accuse you of being too smart!] And besides, there's really nothing that says "You're not supposed to talk during the night". In fact, it's sometimes advisable to talk during the night, so that if you're a goodie in danger of an NK or something, you'll be protected from the baddies. [You'll see what I mean later on. I'm too lazy to type it all out right now...]. edit: WIFOM=Wine In Front Of Me. From the book/movie The Princess Bride. Where when A says B will do 1, B now has to do 2, but then B will realize that doing two is exactly what A expects B to do, so B now has to do 1, but A will look ahead that far too, so it becomes a battle of wits. Go to youtube and search "The Princess Bride Westley and the Sicilian scene". It's bound to be there somewhere.

Hey! It's probably a little late for this [by 2 years or so....] but whatever. So, I am MissKitten, but I usually go by MiKi. I am an avid mafia player, so you will generally find me hanging around the games forum [MAFIA! *fistpump* (Because I can. Don't judge me!)] but I am also trying to reintroduce myself to the Word riddles forum, because I really do like riddles. [i'm just not very good at them.... ] I am always willing to help new members find their way around the forum [it's been two years since I joined, so I feel safe in saying that I am probably experienced enough to help new members.....] and I generallt try and welcome new members if they post in threads that I frequent. I also visit the Intorduce Youself forum every now and then and say hi to any new members. IRL, I'm a young high schooler who's a little bit smarter then your average kid. I am proud to call myself a nerd [because we're gonna end up taking over the world one day! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!!! (You'll see me saying that <= a lot....)] and I have a bunch of nerdy friends, which probably doesn't help... -_-'. I am also an otaku, and although I don't watch a lot of animes or read a lot of mangas, I'm always willing to learn about others. I am also always ready to have "intellectual" conversations about animes/mangas that I have in common with people, and am always willing to meet other otakus! [Otakus unite!] You will also see me using [ ]'s a lot [as evidenced by the number of [ ]'s I've used in this thread, as well as the one I'm writing in now...] and I tend to pepper my posts with smileys [a bad habit I've picked up from EDM.
