dyalDragon
If my last rhyme left you feeling sore, here's your chance to even the score. No need to ice, just lie down, don't get worked up, don't want to drown. Hard day's work, lots of overtime pay, still nothing to show at the end of the day. Headed home, time to pack up. Sore, sleepy, in search of a cup. This one should go quick...Enjoy!!

0 Guest
So it has to do with hockey? Not sure about the playoff rules but maybe shootout or overtime?
0 dyalDragon
So it has to do with hockey? Not sure about the playoff rules but maybe shootout or overtime? definitely hockey... think about the wording in all the lines, and the title is relevant too

0 dyalDragon
hockey game ending in a tie? Yay! tie hockey game is what i had in mind... this can't happen in the playoffs, they just keep playing until someone wins in sudden death overtime, but in general a tie game hurts your chances for winning the cup as it doesn't really put you ahead of the other team as far as playoff potential... the whole thing was a little abstract, but with even the score, and the ice reference it fit i think... good job PG! Edit...heh I missed the four on four reference PG, which is how the overtime in a non playoff game is played, for anyone who doesn't know hockey Edited July 10, 2009 by dyalDragon

0 dyalDragon
settle the score referred to breaking the tie Nice riddle. Sports riddles are always fun for me . settle the score was the main title and part of the second line, but then I changed the second line to 'even the score' to make sure the tie reference was solid enough...either way you hit the hockey reference first, which seemed to be the hard part to me

If my last rhyme left you feeling sore,
here's your chance to even the score.
No need to ice, just lie down,
don't get worked up, don't want to drown.
Hard day's work, lots of overtime pay,

Headed home, time to pack up.
Sore, sleepy, in search of a cup.
This one should go quick...Enjoy!!
