0 hugemonkey
Alternate Number Two 2. Nothing left to recycle is unspoiled. 2. Indian's goalie blocked one goal, but a goal got in near the end. These both have the same answer.
0 plainglazed
2. Nothing left to recycle is unspoiled. 2. Indian's goalie blocked one goal, but a goal got in near the end. OK, am pretty sure I know the answer but still cannot resolve the first clue. Nothing = save left = sav to = a recycle = GE (as in General Electric washer? best I've got unless *to recycle* = age) savage or unspoiled Alternatively goalie blocked one goal = save but a g. (abreviation of goal) got in near the end savage or Indian

(abreviation of goal) got in near the end savage or Indian Great! You got the alternate 2 exactly. Unfortunately, I am going to end this one early so it won't be hanging on for 3 weeks. Nothing left = remove the L / to recycle = SALVAGE / is unspoiled = SAVAGE. Now use all of the answers to solve the BONUS! (It is probably anti-climactic at best.) I hate to do this but I am about to be away for a while and don't want it hanging on. You could still try for the BONUS though.

0 hugemonkey
Bonus: One has 5:55 the second 6:52 third or fourth a 9:10. Magic Numbers? (1 thru 10 cryptically listed in the above) Another snippet from William Congreve's play The Mourning Bride along with *Music has charms to soothe a savage breast, to soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak* and *Heaven has no rage, like love to hatred turned, Nor hell a fury, like a woman scorned.* You got it! Two famous quotes from the same play. One(1) has 5:55(5 to 6) the second(2) 6:52(8 to 7) third(3) or fourth(4) a 9:10(9,10). Substitute the answers for each number and you get "Music has charms to soothe a savage breast, to soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak." the title is a snippet from the other famous quote.
