0 Guest
I haven't read the clues yet, but it sounds like it should beThe serpent in the garden of eden. Or the Devil, Satan, whatever name you wish to give him.

Or the Devil, Satan, whatever name you wish to give him. but then Evr, since she actually plucked the forbidden fruit and brought it to Adam. The serpent brought lies, but those weren't forbidden-- just unheard of and I think somebody referred to that whole bunch earlier-- the only one that hadn't been mentioned yet was my last guess. 0 plainglazed
Vanity? Was forbidden? Yeah I wouldnt know. Religion and politics have no place in civil conversation. That said, I'm a socialist and an atheist. Probably not forbidden but...prior to the "original sin"? Like I said I would not know. Vaguely remember the fig leaves and modesty after the deed is how I came up with vanity as a pure guess.
0 tiger_lily111
What was forbidden was Knowledge - it was forbidden for them to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good & evil
0 Fileobrother
What was forbidden was Knowledge - it was forbidden for them to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good & evil I'd say tigerlily is right on this one. when they ate the fruit, they 1) stopped being innocent, because once you know that right and wrong exist, you have a choice to do one or the other. 2) understood that they had disobeyed God, and were ashamed. 3) cursed themselves into utter mortality. Not to go to in depth, but I submit this as an answer to the riddle in any case.

While I agree, you guys are right, the riddle doesn't say it's looking for what's forbidden, but rather, that the "personified I" brought what was forbidden, which is why I still hold steadfast on my answer ofthe serpent. He talked eve into eating what was forbidden. it's the closest likeness I can think of.
0 Guest
Ooooh, but then, you're right, "Knowledge brought what was hidden (good and evil), because 'knowledge' was forbidden." In another sense, you guys are right. I didn't see it that way.punished by the one above I'm the one you shoudn't love I've brought what was hidden for it was forbidden
