There were times in college where I pulled an all nighter to finish a project for an 8am class; and when you sleep from 9am to 4pm, 5pm is lunch.

Some (modern day) Ethiopians use a 12-hour clock, with one cycle of 1 to 12 from dawn to dusk, and the other cycle from dusk to dawn.
