Guest
eraser__ editor__ senses__ yogurt--x jockey--xxo yesman--o I'm pretty sure this one is two seperate words, but... kungfu__ cooler--xx sniper__ pumpup__ also two words (at least where I'm from), but I'll allow it. every letter in yogurt except for the y has been eliminated. However, their is a conflict between the y in yogurt = x and the y in yesman = o. Can you please check? Thanks!
Guest
I am French Canadian, so I may be missing something: Is there any word in the English language that has no vowels at all? And I agree with Voltage's observation. Edited April 13, 2009 by WilsonsMum
CaptainEd
WilsonsMum, I doubt there's anything you're missing. Good news: yes, there are some words where Y is the vowel (crypt, tryst) and at least one where W is the vowel (cwm--for all you Welsh rockclimbers like Sir Edmund Hillary). Bad news: Y yielding an x and an o and C yielding an x and an o both sound like some kind of bookkeeping challenge
Guest
OK, somehow this looks different with coffee.... Note the updates in red. The good Cap'n's spreadsheet doesn't work for me, I will try to pay closer attention. I apologize, profusely. eraser__ editor--o senses__ yogurt--xo jockey--xxo yesman--o kungfu__ cooler--xx sniper__ pumpup__ I also apologize for mucking things up on what I consider to be one of the best possible masterwords. I think the final solution should be very satisfying for those of you who are true fans. Edited April 13, 2009 by Grayven

Guest
Are you certain that cowboy does not render XXX? Quite certain. editor = o after all. I assure you this is a word in the English language, just not commonly used outside certain circles. Guest
The reason I am asking is that you gave jockey--xxo and from what I saw so far, "c" would be in first position, "o" in second position, thus leading me to believe that "y" would be the last letter.
