Question

Treasure Hunt #6 –Message in the Book

Chapter 1: BluePrint to the victory

Chapter 2: Secret Tunnel

Chapter 3: What should they do?

Chapter 4: Secret of the BluePrint

Chapter 5: The Original Study Room

Andromeda took out the book carefully ensuring not touching any other books there. By the time they walked out from the room. It was another morning. The sun rays dropped on the corridor through the windows.

They kept flipping the book to see what will be the next quest. Suddenly a few peaces of paper dropped from the book. After assembling, they got the whole picture like this:

“Ok, time for another round of puzzle-solving brain work!” andromeda told the gang.

“What? We have been sleeping for a night!” ST looked at andromeda with her tiring eyes.

What does this peace of paper tell?

possible words for "st__k":

steak

stink

stalk

stack

stank

stock

stork

stark

stick

stuck

"stack" and "stock" can both work for "collection," and "stalk" works for "track"

possible words for "__nge":

binge

conge

dinge

hinge

longe

lunge

mange

range

singe

tenge

tinge

venge

I can't seem to pair any of these with the clues from hint #2.

I was thinking...

1/10^12)=0.000000000001 if I did the count right. Now maybe we need to write those words that we got like this:

0.00COLLECTION

0.0000000RAISE

0.00000CONCERN and so on

Now, you wrote 2224 for the first word, so what if we need to move the coma right for two/four/one/three positions to the right

0.COLLECTION 2

0.00000RAISE 2

0.0CONCERN 4 since this is the third word

And so on, and in the end we need to read vertically what it says.

If this is not what you had in mind, too bad cause I think it's a pretty good idea! :D

that "collection" and "__nge" definitely go together, since "collection" is the first word in hint #2 and "__nge" has "Start!" written above the bubble. So therefore, "track - stalk" is one combination, and the last one is "collection - range" perhaps?

Yes, you found the right one, but which one is the one ? stock, stack or stalk?

Well, I didn't use this trick. Maybe will consider that in the incoming chapters. Great Idea! :)

Yes! Hooray! At least one stage of this riddle is clear. :D

:)

Andromeda, listen to me!

range

care

last

stalk

sport

best

slice

single

frost

Raise

luck

cheap

When you start at "range" and connect the points of the triangles attached to the bubbles, the letters that are crossed are, in order:

EKTILOPNRATIOGNRDEBTXNNAEBTHO

There are 29 letters, and 29 characters in the last message consisting only of 1, 2, 3, and 4. Not sure if that's a coincidence.

Question: do we anagram these 29 letters to come up with the message?

edit: the BTHO at the end is assuming we connect to the bubble with only a 2 inside at the end. I still have no idea what the numbers in the bubbles mean.

Correct! To clear your doubt.

Range

Care

lAst

stAlk

sPort

bEst

sLice

Single

frOst

RaiSe

Luck

cHeap

Sorry I didn't check your age, but if you reach certain age, you will figure out what number in the bubbles mean. :)

EKTILOPNRATIOGNRDEBTXNNAEBTHO

Nope! This is not what I looking for. Did you check on Andromeda's picture? She may not get the right solution, but the approach is there. :)

Atomic numbers came into play somehow. So the first bubble, Range, having Ra for radium (atomic number 88) then should point to the second bubble, Care, since that bubble has 88 in it, and so on, correct? What am I missing here?

I think this should be it! :)

EDIT: I got the same think that lazboy did Woon?? Same letters!

EDIT: I don't know what to do with the numbers on the bottom though...

post-10350-1231431079.gif

Andromeda! Perfect Picture if compare as per what I design this. Great!

Of coarse this is not the way to get the letters. That's because you haven't solve the first hint.

Few more stages to go before you can solve the thing completely. :oooooo(Few more stages!)

It is a word.

Nothing! 100% correct up to this stage, beside you skip solving first hint. :)

To lazboy and andromeda, I would like to appology and make a clarification based on lazboy's statement:

When you start at "range" and connect the points of the triangles attached to the bubbles, the letters that are crossed are, in order:

EKTILOPNRATIOGNRDEBTXNNAEBTHO

There are 29 letters, and 29 characters in the last message consisting only of 1, 2, 3, and 4. Not sure if that's a coincidence.

Question: do we anagram these 29 letters to come up with the message?

edit: the BTHO at the end is assuming we connect to the bubble with only a 2 inside at the end. I still have no idea what the numbers in the bubbles mean.

When I say no, it doesn't mean those letter are not the one. Lazboy caught the good connection between the number of letters found along the line and the number of (1,2,3,4) are equal.

So, this is important. But I can't reveal too much from now. Solve the first hint then you will realize how to do the next step. :)

To lazboy,

Tera is what I looking for, but definitely not Aret

So we have 1/tera. Inverse of tera. Reciprocal of tera. Tera-1. d/d(tera) ln(tera).

... ...

Te=52, Ra=88. 52+88=140, 1/140 is 0.007142857

One physically above Te on the periodic table is Se. Above Ra is Ba. SeBa??

:blink::blink::blink:

I'm lost.

I'll keep thinking about it though.

Nope,

say the whole tera?

Aargh!

Sorry for 2x posting but it wont let me edit.

The the shapes created by the lines matter, or is this all going to lead to the periodic table?

I am not to sure about your question, but if you mean after the lines are drawn.

There is no more periodic table involvement already
