Guest
Once upon a time, and old lady went to sell her vast quantity of eggs at the local market. When asked how many she had, she replied: Son, I can't count past 100 but I know that. If you divide the number of eggs by 2 there will be one egg left. If you divide the number of eggs by 3 there will be one egg left. If you divide the number of eggs by 4 there will be one egg left. If you divide the number of eggs by 5 there will be one egg left. If you divide the number of eggs by 6 there will be one egg left. If you divide the number of eggs by 7 there will be one egg left. If you divide the number of eggs by 8 there will be one egg left. If you divide the number of eggs by 9 there will be one egg left. If you divide the number of eggs by 10 there will be one egg left. Finally. If you divide the Number of eggs by 11 there will be NO EGGS left! How many eggs did the old lady have?

This is the one I referring to. Seems like there is slightly different from this. But the approach is the same. Anyway, how to make a link to specific post? You can type as per below: {topic=###}Type what ever you like to type here as the text for this link{/topic} where ### is the topic number and change the symbol of {} to []

0 Guest
Since the question is different so I would take part to answer. Reveal hidden contents Since the number remain 1 after dividing by either 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ,8, 9 or 10, it must be the common multipler of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ,8, 9 and 10 (lets say CM) + 1 the first CM of these is 2520, so 2520+1 =2521, but 2521/11 remain 2. So it should be CM*n + 1 where can be divided by 11. So the first one that meet this condition is when n = 10, so 2520*10 + 1 = 25201.
