Question

Hopefully this hasnt been done before, it didnt come up on my search. Sorry if it has.

There are ten pears on a tree.

10 people come along.

Each takes 1 pear, and leaves nine on the tree,

how is this possible?

Really sorry if its already been done.

The 1st person took a pear off the tree, leaving nine. The 2nd through ninth people all stole the pear from the person who had it before them, still leaving 9 on the tree.

Nice thinking! :)

Agree cause

There are ten pears on a tree.

10 people come along.

Each takes 1 pear, and leaves nine on the tree,

how is this possible?

Each is written with a capital E and 'how' in the next line wasn't!

Yeah I did that on purpose. :)

i was thinking that maybe each person could take a pear and sit in in the tree to eat it. considering no one finishes by the time the last pear is taken each person would have taken one pear and left 9 in the tree. i said nine because it does not say exactly nine. ya by the way, congrats violent pedestrian... i would have never thought. ;)
