Question

Hello, Braindenizens!

I've taken some time off (had real work to do) and figured to piggy-back off the current trend. I'm sure there are going to be multiple answers available to some of these, but I'm not creative enough to make clues that eliminate every other book title history than the desired one. These are all books I've read, the titles are all in English, and I'm looking for the title AND the author. My apologies in advance if these are too simple...

And these are not obscure books--I've read them all and feel confident in saying if you haven't heard of the book, you've at least heard of the author

1. Obisidian Feline

2. Male Encased by Metal

3. Going Back to "I Do"er's Skull

4. Cathedral's Deformed Being

5. A Specific Disgusting Power

6. 15 Minutes after Quarter til Murder

7. Long Quest

8. Henry and the Hobo

9. Babel and Sears

10. Los Angeles Games

Best of Luck!

Congrats, Andromeda, with #1, but remember to include the author (it helps verify that these are real books by known authors and I seem like less of a sham).

And sorry, Peaceout, 0 for 2. Keep swinging though!

If you think you have a good guess, try searching on Google to match the book and author

And, no surprises, this hasn't taken long for you all to crack away at most of it. Congrats to all guessers thus far!

Congrats to SomeGuy for the correct answer of #8, and he was also correct on #9 but the good Professor answered that earlier

This leaves the remaining clues of:

3. Going Back to "I Do"er's Skull

5. A Specific Disgusting Power

7. Long Quest

#3 is Correct--kudos to PoudreAvenger. There was a similar guess, but not quite.

And I feel that "Long Quest" may not be specific enough, but at the same time, it is the most specific I can get while staying true to the Title and story line.

Only 2 left (i'm working on another 10 currently)

I don't think

7. Long Quest

can be anymore plainly described than as

"The Odyssey" - By Homer

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner! Congrats again to PoudreAvenger!

BTW, the next 10 are waiting to be released after #5 is solved.

#5 Hint: Though well-known as part of a trilogy, this book's author is best known for another literary septet
