0 Guest
Hey! Many of you may know of or have heard of The Philosopher, a fake username I made for an awesome scavenger hunt for the players of Mafia VI for extra info (which a non-player ended winning anyway lol). Anyway, I've decided to make a new scav hunt, even bigger and better, and for all of Brainden! This will be tougher and it will take team cooperation to succeed. However, any information should be inside spoilers (double spoilers if possible ) so as to not ruin the hunt for everyone. Before I begin, I'd like to thank Rookie, for cooperating to make this an awesome scav hunt ;D The Yak Hunt will start off with 3 separate strands. Strand One will deal with finding a password... Strand Two finds the username linked to that password... Strand Three finds the website on which the username exists. Once you find it all, log in with the username & password onto the site, and you will find your next instructions... *** Strand One *** WPA~IE~YKDOAIINK content1 w1 L2 content1 w7 L1 content2 w1 L8 content2 w16 L6 {space} content3 w2 L5 content3 w4 L1 content3 w5 L2 content3 w13 L3 content3 w11 L3 content3 w22 L4 {space} {opening parentheses} content0 p2 w10 minimum_height_meters {space} content4 w1 L3 content4 w4 L2 content4 w3 L7 content4 w5 L2 content4 w4 L8 content1 w4 L2 {closing parentheses} Search the biggest Rain Forest for books on the letters you've discovered. Click on the first entry and find the ISBN-10. This is the password... *** Strand Two *** Yellow and blue upon this day I stand, Avaricious to the flow of gold, Kindly kindling the kidding kindred, Mysterious despite the cloaks and daggers... Angling for the darkest pit, Never once to find a lantern. The above verse is indeed acrostic, with the username hidden inside, but it may be one deeper, than you might've implied. *** Strand Three *** For those that have played a Mafia baddie, I need say no more than Bee Em Bee. If BMB eludes your mind, a Mafia player you must find. (In case of ambiguity, it's the new BMB, not the older version)

And no matter how I number them, word16 has less than 6 letters...gah...

0 Guest
haha what I have so far the first part, with the w's and the L's, I think they mean word and letter. But what is the content? If we find that, we go to Amazon.com, find a book on that subject... you know the rest. Edit: there are so many things to do! First there is his profile, then his blog, then the comment on his album. The picture is a temple for Ramses II or something. Edit 2: I think the username is Yakman, but wait! He said that the meaning was something deeper than what we imply. Edited August 22, 2008 by frozen_in_fire

0 unreality
if anyone's still mulling over this: WPA~IE~YKDOAIINK it's not just scrambled letters. I'll give this one, just to show you guys one of the simplest methods of encyphering: WPA~IE~YKDOAIINK count: 16 characters. 4x4. Write downwards: W P A ~ W I P E A ~ ~ Y etc: W I K I P E D I A ~ O N ~ Y A K read across-wise, and you get WIKIPEDIA ON YAK
